Ok so my niece just joined this traveling magazine company. I did some research online, and found only negative things from abuse, to being ripped off, and I understand people only blog when they are mad, and I understand each crew has different managers that run things different ways. So my niece has medical problems and severe depression and Im so worried for her well being. Ive tried to convince her this is not a good idea and well she is 18 and very naive the way she got into this line of work was threw a boy who flirted with her. After 2 days of blowing up the phone number she left us finely they responded and agreed to meet with me. My first impression of her manager was not good she looked like a meth head and her crew looked like a group of low lives I try not to judge but they looked like they all were drug users or former ones. When I asked her to see her contractors license she looked confused and said they don't need one. So when I looked up info online a lot of the kids that work for the company end up with tickets for soliciting in diff state and end up with warrants for failure to appear in court and don't realize it.She did try to make me feel better but I felt like it was a line from a book and I kept hearing key words that rang bells in my head of what I previous read online her personal stories didn't add up to me and I felt as if I was being lied to I could be wrong but had a bad feeling deep inside. I can't sleep after reading all the horror stories of kids being left barefoot far far from home and worse being sexually abused, beaten and death. Every customer report I read was people being robbed, ripped off, raped etc. So when they hire these crews they don't do back round checks so all the scum apply and some of the good kids get sucked in as well. I am so sick to my stomach with all this evil and don't know what to do, or what I can even do. She is an adult in age but her mind is much less. I hope to have some advise from anyone please Ill take any feedback negative positive help me if your with the company feel better about the situation like I said all I have seen is negative if you have anything it would help.
