Sorry customer service
June 28, 2011
customer service
I went into Aldi's at about 7pm 27 June 2011. I was checking out and the cashier would not let me see the prices that she was ringing up, she stated that she needs to watch the screen. I told her NO I was the one paying for them so I need to see the screen. Then I asked to Please DO NOT throw my food in the buggy, she continued on. I asked again DO NOT THROW my food, she continued. She finished ringing up and I told her she can re-ring it so I can watch the prices, instead of her. she closed out my sale pushed the biggy away and started checking out the next customer!!! She then called the manager, he came out and I told him what happened, he said that he would re-ring my food. I was watching her ring up the other customer and asked the manager why does she have to chunk the food in the buggy. He told me that she wasn't I told him that I m standing there watching and listening to the food drop in the buggy. Then he said that they have to ring up the customer fast. I told him that no he did not. He rang up my food and chunked it in the buggy. When he was through I told him to keep the sale and I was going to KROGER!!! I will NEVER go to Aldi's again. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SUCH SORRY SERVICE!!! There are too many stores wanting your money!!! BRING BACK GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Lunch Mate-Honey Turkey Breast
I tried to contact Aldi twice by email waited days and have not even received a confirmation.
My original statement is as follows:
I made a sandwich with your Lunch Mate Honey Turkey Breast and bit on a chard of bone feeling like it almost broke my tooth. I felt like this was a rare occurrence that would not happen again.
A few days later I made another sandwich and found two more pieces of bone and this time I saved them.
I never had a complaint about an Aldi's product before and have been shopping with you ever since you opened in my area. But more care should be taken in the process of this product. I really have no ambition to finish the lunch meat.

To Whom It May Concern:
My husband and I purchased some of your shrimp at the closest location to my home… 351 Logan Lane Baden, PA 15005. We made the first batch and I got so sick that I spent November 11th through November 15th in my local hospital. I had severe stomach cramping, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. The attending ER doctor felt that I needed to be admitted. After all of the testing that was done, the doctors were baffled as to what was wrong with me…. Stomach cramping, diarrhea, vomiting, and just a complete sense of nausea. It was no wonder why one of the Head Gastroenterologists said that since all of the tests came back inconclusive, he said that it was a virus. Commonly misdiagnosed with food poisoning.
Gee, I wonder who is going to be picking up the “tab” of that stay at my local “Club Med”. Lord knows, I needed a vacation, but I was hoping I would be sitting back at the beach in FL, not hitting my nurse call button on my adjustable bed in a shared room. And having my family in an uproar about my inconclusive “condition”. I am highly upset about this and I am wondering what steps to take next.
Being released from the hospital AND not correlating my symptoms with food poisoning we had another package of your shrimp in the freezer. On November 24th my husband and I decided to make it…low and behold, guess who was back in the bathroom up all night vomiting into a trash bin beside her bed…Yup, it was me…. Needless to say, now I know what all the common symptoms of food poisoning are.
I have a package of Flounder that I was going to make, but I am going to return that package and I really hope that the manager does not give me any problems…. I would hate to have to draw the media into this mishap.
I hope that this problem gets rectified. I have seen some of the same complaints about ALDI’s food on some websites and I have decided to stop shopping at ALDI completely. As well as staging a complete boycott. I hope to hear from you soon, or once the medical bills start to roll in, you will be hearing from my lawyers.
I had a horrible experience and I literally went through my cupboards and fridge and got rid of everything from ALDI and I checked and double checked dates for all of my other foods.
I hope that no one else has an experience like I did. It sucked.

Warranty on Televisions
On August 29, 2006 I bought a Magnum 42" Plasma Television with a three year warranty from Aldi in Spain. On October 13, 2008 the television lost it's picture and the odor of smoke appeared to come from the back of the television.
I contacted Magnum Service Center as required by the warranty only to be told that these TV's have a problem and the parts are not currently available, but that they would order a delivery company to collect the television in the next weeks about a collection date. A month later, I have no television and no pick=up date has been given. Surely I am due a refund from Aldi for selling a defective product with problems that seem to be unrepairable. service?
