FIND ANOTHER VENDOR, THIS SALON IS NOT WORTHY OF YOUR BUSINESS...Alfred Angelo of Boyton Beach, Florida offered a wide selection of dresses for my daughter and her bridal party. Aside from that, I cannot recommend anything else about this vendor. All of the dresses were ordered 2 sizes larger than the girls needed. When they came in, the store manager admitted they were ordered too large. We had to shuffle all of the girls into one another's dresses and order two extra dresses in smaller sizes. Unfortunately, my daughter's bridal gown arrived far too late to return for a smaller size and needed hundreds of dollars of alterations in order to fit. The manager refused to waive any of these fees, even though she was the one who measured wrongly. When the dress was supposedly "finished" weeks later, it did not fit tightly enough through the waist and hips for the strapless dress to remain in place. When my daughter told the manager it was still too loose, she was told it fit fine. Getting nowhere with a very pushy manager, she took the dress without fighting further. (The wedding was a destination wedding and she need to leave the following morning.) Thankfully, we were able to locate a seamstress on site to fix the dress. I had to pay for the additional alterations, but it was worth it. The seamstress could not believe that anyone in the industry could claim that this dress fit correctly. She said that it did require a great deal of work to take in that style which is why they likely only fixed the top of the dress. When I contacted Alfred Angelo's district manager, she said she was sorry we weren't happy, but once you took the dress they had fulfilled their part of the contract. She would not even entertain the fact that her store manager had ordered the dress the wrong size and refused to even listen to the bride's complaint that the dress still did not fit right after alterations, or that we could not wait for them to fix it again in time to leave for her wedding destination. They knew she was pressed for time yet they failed to called when the dress originally arrived or when it was supposedly altered. Both times we had to call repeatedly and wait for someone to "find" it. They even had all the bridesmaids' dresses listed under another name and took days to find them as well. I have never found it necessary to write a negative review about a business, since most businesses are reputable enough to admit their mistakes and make adequate compensation. Alfred Angelo is not such a company. I believe they purposely order dresses too large so they can benefit from a percentage of the alterations. While I will never recoup the money it cost me in excessive alterations for a dress purposely ordered too large, we were able to get it to fit the beautiful bride in time for her big day. I only hope to share this with other brides to spare them from Alfred Angelo's shady business tactics. They do not sell anything so unique that you cannot get it from another, more reputable bridal vendor.
