SCAMMERS
ALIBABA.COM (trade website) are the BIGGEST CROOKS EVER! ALIBABA allows any company that advertises on their website to BUY "GOLD/PLATNIUM AND PREMIUM" membership logo's to advertise on their site for $300-$500, therefore, the customer thinks it's a reputable company. When you do business with these so called platnium membership companies and get scammed, most customers contact ALIBABA. ALIBABA'S first words to you are "I'm sorry, we (ALIBABA) are not responsible for companies advertising fraudulent businesses. ALIBABA IS A CHINA BASED COMPANY ITSELF. There are 1000's of companies in China advertising on ALIBABA. If ALIBABA IS MAKING $300-$500 FOR ADVERTISING THESE GOLD/PLATNIUM/PREMIUM memberships, why can't ALIBABA afford to have these companies verified? How much could it possibly cost to have an employee go out to these companies and verify the legal existence of them? Consumers are steadily being scammed by companies advertised on ALIBABA but ALIBABA does NOTHING about it to protect consumers. All ALIBABA can offer is an apology and inform the consumer to do their OWN investigating on a company before doing business, but yet it's a company that the consumer FOUND ON ALIBABA. Consumers do as much research as they could on these companies through sites like Fraudwatch and other sites which advertise companies that are scammers but companies like ALIBABA who continue to advertise these scammers are nothing more than scammers themselves. With that, I say if ALIBABA can't do more to protect it's consumers and get the companies on their website legally verfied and have their credentials posted, then I wouldn't buy anything advertised on ALIBABA. ALIBABA ARE THE REAL THIEVES!!!

Thank you for your advise. However, I realize that "terminating the supplier from Alibaba" is the only thing that could do in case of fradulent suppliers. If this is the case, how does someone TRUST on any of the suppliers or so-called "GOLD SUPPILIERS" of Alibaba. How will someone ever rely any of the suppliers of Alibaba and send them amount?

Before sending money to the supplier, I did enquire Alibaba about HK Longkang, and Alibaba Customer Service recommended that HK Longkang is one of the GOLD SUPPLIERS and they are trustworthy.

I will make most of my efforts in all possibilities to refrain people from all parts of the world to refrain relying on Alibaba and all its suppliers, as almost all the suppliers you have are fake suppliers, cheating money from people around the globe. Disgusting!!! Never again with Alibaba or any of its suppliers.

Dear Felice,

As informed you earlier, I could not communicate with the supplier "HK Longkang" by any means. They are not available through phone - their phone is switched off all the time. They are also not available through email or online chat or even through Alibaba chat.

Looks like they have absconded.

Thanks,
Shasta

***ATTN: Felice of Online Security Department of Alibaba.com ***

Hello Felice,

Please find enclosed the scanned "trade dispute agreement" that has been filled with my own handwriting with all the details and my signature in it. Also attached are the Bank Wire Transfer details and money transfer receipt, the email communication between me and HK Longkang representative, the invoice provided by them and also their company's price list.

Please do the needful and make sure that the products are sent to me by HK Longkang. The amount that I had spent, US Dollar one thousand one hundred (US $1100) is not a small amount for a person of my caliber and that I have had to take a loan to send this money to this supplier for the products. Considering this in mind, kindly help me out to sort the issue.

Thank you so much for your involvement in the dispute and appropriate action. Kindly acknowledge receipt of this email.

Best regards,
Shasta

Dear Service Team -

Thank you for your response. As you suggested, I do not mind waiting for a few more days for the laptops. However, please note that there is no way that I could communicate to them. They never come online for the past 1 week in the website you mentioned - http://hklongkang.en.alibaba.com/. They never came in yahoo chat too. Also, when I tried to call them through the phone number they provided (0086-20-39700229), the number is switched off all the time for the past 1 week. I have approached you since there is no way that I could communicate with them.

Any involvement by Alibaba to resolve the problem will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shasta

Dear Shasta PK,

Thanks for your email.

We regret to learn your recent business experience.

Based on the information you provided, we find a matching company named HK Longkang Ltd. at http://hklongkang.en.alibaba.com/. This company is an Alibaba.com Gold Supplier. All Gold Supplier Members have passed an authentication and verification check by a third-party credit reporting agency. This check is only made to confirm the legitimacy of the company. However, as trading always carries a degree of risk, we can never guarantee that it is 100% safe to trade with these paid members.

As you mentioned you still haven't received the laptops from the company yet, please note that there are many reasons that will cause the delay of delivery, such as the delay of express, etc. For such kind of incident you are kindly asked to wait for a few days longer and try to get in touch with the supplier more actively. After all, communication between the two parties is the best way to solve the business dispute.

However, if you do not receive laptops in due time, please kindly confirm with us so that we can follow up accordingly.

Hope you receive the laptops in the nearest future.

Sincerely,
Alibaba.com Service Team

I have paid around $1100 for purchasing laptops to the GoldSupplier company HK Longkang Ltd. It has been exactly a week that I have paid the amount and I have not heard from them anything since then. Can you please check and let me know the status of HK Longkang? Are they really genuine suppliers? OR fraud?

Please update me with your finding.

Thanks,

Ok look. We have all been scammed by Alibaba.com and one or more of their companies. So lets talk about how to spot the bogus companies. First, never buy anything from a 1st year supplier. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Next make sure that they supply you with a copy of their export license from the Chinese Ministry. Then verify it. Then ask for a copy of their Third Party Certificate from the original manufacturer. Then verify it. If all this checks out, call the phone numbers listed and make sure they are real and the person verifies they are the person you have been talking to. Next verify the address with the Chinese Postal Service. I will explain why later. Also ask for the serial number (photo proof) of the exact item they are sending you along with a copy of the warranty card. Verify serial number with original manufacturer. On the invoice that they send you, be sure and add that under The Consumer Protection Act, any product that is sent to you that was unsolicited is not fulfillment of the invoice and is non-returnable unless originally ordered products are received and they pay for the return shipping. Then and only then if you are comfortable do you send them money and only through Paypal! It only takes 10 minutes for them to set up an account so dont believe the BS about how they have applied and are waiting for approval. Always use your CC for your Paypal account for extra protection.

Now lets say you did all this and you still got scammed. What do you do? First call them and see if it was an honest mistake. HAHAHAHA!!! You can let them know that you will be contacting the Chinese Consulate in your country about this illegal activity as well as the original manufacturer about their certificate. Get the consulate to call or email them on your behalf. This usually will impose a level of "OH CRAP" into them and they may refund your money. If not ask the Consulate to notify the Chinese Ministry and local police that you want to press charges (supply them with the confirmed address from earlier) and have them copy the supplier on that email. If none of this works then you are outta luck.

#1 Fact...Alibaba will do NOTHING to help you and they will do NOTHING to the company.

I did not post on this web site. Where did they get this information?
A false ad was placed on Alibaba.com web site using my name, home address and work telephone number. How can this happen? I am very savy about the internet and it's capabilities. Can anyone post information on the web using someone elses name without that person knowing it? Does the Alibaba web site do any kind of security check on people using their site?
