Harrasing people on CL

This person got a free Quaker parrot from me. She kept this bird for 2 months before selling it to someone else. I recieved a complaint that the bird I sold her was sick. After having a big heated discussion she said to me that she had left the bird next to the Air Conditioner. I asked her if she knew that a bad draft could cause respiratory infections and she said no. So she then told me she was going to get her boyfriend to kill my boyfriend. She was very rude and tried her best to itimidate me. I know for sure she doesn't have a legitamate license to sell animals because I've been to her house. It's a two story house her parents own and she drives a silver either honda civic or a toyota corolla I don't quite remember which one now. All I know is she is should not be selling all those animals she is getting for free. It's not fair to be a backyard breeder while so many other animals are dying in shelters. I feel bad she has to do this to make her income to pay rent to her parents with whom she lives with. Please stop her!

Sold me a sick cockatiel that died!

ALINA GARCIA 2902 N HARDING AVE, TAMPA. (813) 458-4043, [email protected], drives an older silver Honda Civic. She sells pets and pet supplies. I bought a female cockatiel listed on craigslist from her. She met me in a parking lot, brought the cockatiel in a Burger King bag. She said the bird's stomach was swollen with an egg and that I should prepare a nesting box for her right away. She took my money and left so fast I had to call after her to ask her the birds name. The bird died within the week, never did lay an egg! I tried to get my money back but Alina swore the bird was fine when she gave it to me. She even had her boyfriend call me to intimidate me and accuse me of feeding the bird onions! Someone please tell me why in the world would anyone feed a bird onions! I bought the bird from her thinking she was some individual selling a pet bird. After looking her up on the internet I found that she sells Angorra rabbits, cockatiels, fish aquariums and supplies, dwarf bunnies, parrots, ferrets and guinea pigs. Apparently she runs a business out of her home and I would venture to say that she doesn't have a legitimate business license, and probably doesn't pay sales tax to the state, nor claims the income on her federal income tax returns. She told me she sold 6 or 7 other cockatiels the same day as mine and they were all fine. At $35 each, that's a lot of income! Numerous web sites are linked to her phone number, lycos.tampa.oodle.com, tampa4sale.com, tampa.locanto.com, tampa.craigslist.org, oodle.com, orlando.locanto.com. If you intend to buy a pet from ALINA GARCIA you should ask for a health certificate from the vet. She said she had one for my bird but never produced it. Right...don't make the same mistake I did!
