We got a letter informing us that we had been selected to get two free airfare tickets for going to a presentation. I called the marketing agency (one of many working with and lying for All Inclusive Excursions/ Sealandtravel) and they said (3 times) that you walk out of there with two free airline tickets. They lied.
The presentation is a marketing master piece and we were told that we could use our miles (American Airlines, Carnival miles etc.) in combination with their special offers. What a deal, right? Turns out, they lied.
The two free airline tickets are not free at all and neither was the free gas and free dinner ticket offer. We cannot use our miles and again have to use different brokers for our trips. Not the One Shop Travel Agency we were told they were.
The airline tickets cost you at least 148-228 dollars apiece.
For the dinner you HAVE to spend at least 40 dollars and leave a 18% tip. No fancy dinner places either.
To get the gas coupon you just about have to give then your first born.
Whoa, false marketing is the term here. Some call it lies… The All Inclusive Excursions/Sea Land Travel company that is sponsoring this whole thing has a Better Business Bureau rating of “F“, the lowest you can get. Here is why. We called All Inclusive Excursions/Sea Land Travel at least 12 times. Left messages and talked to sales people who assured us someone was going to call us. Nobody ever did.
If you want to purchase membership in a travel club this may be for you. Their offers are not bad but not sensational either and very much a spur of the moment kind a thing. You only get rebates from places that pay them commissions and that’s not every one on the list they give you.
No free stuff, promises made but broken and mediocre offers. Stay away from it.
I think that a credible company with a good product does not have to lie to get you to come to their presentation and then lie to get you to buy. And, no, you can’t get out of the contract once you sign. It’s a lifelong thing that cost you between 2000-9000 dollars when you sign up and then 200 dollars + a year, every year. And, you're dealing with liars.
