In February 2010, I paid $94 (including $10 in late fees) for an "Orlando Dolphin Encounter Boat Tour (Dolphin)" by All Orlando Tours. According to their website, I would be driven to the beach where I would:
"...Encounter dolphins in their natural habitat, wild & free, on [their] 75-minute cruise.
View the Gulf's beautiful beaches & shoreline.
See dolphins jump & play in the water.
Spot bottlenose dolphins - the most widespread & common cetacean in the coastal Gulf of Mexico..."
That is what I expected, and that is what I paid $94 for. That isn't what I got:
I was driven to the beach, but the dolphin viewing boat ride was cancelled due to the weather. I was then refunded a mere "$15" for what essentially amounted to a rainy day at the beach.
Not only should I have been refunded at least half my money, the details on their website need to be changed because they are misleading. This tour is "weather-permitting." Most of its cost stems from transportation costs. Consumers need to be made aware of this. There should have been a price breakdown.
