I wish it mattered that I have taken the time to even make this complaint...I really do not believe this company will change as they and ALL others that provide these type of services have all of us by the short hairs...at any rate here goes...I have been a customer of Allegheny Power for 15 years...last year my bank account was comprimised by a identidy thief...I was unable to get to my money and unable to have any auto payments processed of which Allegheny Power was one. Sooo I called them and reported the issue they confirmed we were fine and to let them know when the bank had things resolved. I did so. Here is what happened next... they hit me for deposit's LARGE deposits on all three of my accounts and then they tried to debit the full account balance and NOT the agreed to amount for my average pay plan...more trouble at the bank...fee's etc.. and then they acknowledge this error yet to date have not refunded the fee's...now the best part...so two or three weeks ago I called because I had not recieved a bill and wanted to pay my bill...I was told I could not do that because of the issues on my account...WTF???? ok so I ask them to look into it and let me know the CSR agrees and says someone will return my call about ALLOWING me to pay online or over the phone...today even with the extra deposit amounts they have extorted from me and the effort on my part to pay my bill in the abscence of their follow up..they come to my farm and disconnect ALL of my power...they confirm over the phone they are holding funds in excess of my amount owed MANY times over and they require me to pay even more...now there seems to be no problem with taking my money on a credit card...unreal...I ask when can my power be turned back on as I have two small children and farm animals plus we just spent well over $600.00 in groceries and I am told, "we can not guarntee same day reactivation maybe by tomorrow evening" unreal...also they charged me a fee to "re-activate" my service...between Bank of America and this Allegheny it is clear to me that these corporate monoliths could give a sh_t about us as clients...JUST GET THE MONEY.
