Charge appeared on our home bill for 14.95, for unspecified charges. Following procedure I called the number supplied on the phone bill and it merely gave information about activating a voice mail account, or canceling the same.
I called the Verizon business office and they had little details other than saying they were forced to bill the charges, which is true but it also makes them party to any complaint, espcially when they could give me no other reach number for Alliance Savings.
I finally reached a party at Transaction Clearing (the billing agent for numerous of these companies some legit I am sure others well...)
Transactions representative had difficulty in understanding it was a monthly charge and as such did not have a specific date (sounds like she dealt with a lot of collect call complaints).
At last she said she would cancel the charges and gave me a number for Alliance (my main interest was in finding out when I "ordered" this serivce).
Their (Alliance) young lady was very helpful canceled the charges and told me I had ordered the on the Internet in November.
Problem was I was out tof the country and no one was in the house at that time, that and I kept using my answering machine instead of my brand new Voice Mail system!!!
Check those bills every month...
