These people are very unprofessional
I am completely debt free and I still get calls from them (ALLIED INTERSTATE) almost every day. I have like an 815-850 credit score number and still I get recordings from them on my machine constantly. It could be for my ex-wife’s son. I wish they would leave a message and, at least, the first and last initial of the person owing them money. I will never call them back so this might go on for a few more years! Why on earth would I call them back if they are owed no money by me? This is the most random recording-string ever left on my machine! My caller ID in fact says ALLIED INTERSTATE 1-775-319-1502. The message is that I am to call them back. Sorry, I do not call random people back that do not leave detailed messages on my answering device. These people are very unprofessional! Do they run a string of Pawn Shops too? Go to business school people and learn how to leave proper phone messages!

Can't understand the words "you have the wrong number"
Got a call from a number associated with Allied Interstate. Very, very rude man demanded to speak with "Jan Larson." Told him he had the wrong number. Then he demanded to know if "Jan Larson" was one of my family members, neighbours, friends, etc.
Said he was going to keep calling until I told him what he wanted to know. Kept interrupting me. Also, they have called many times before, but if my boyfriend answers, they immediately hang up. COWARDS!
What kind of waste of oxygen spends their life doing this, anyway? And how sick do they have to be sound like they're enjoying it, as this man did?

I don't owe anyone
I have no idea why Allied Interstate is calling me. I don't owe anyone! I called them once and the agent said (sounding like she was sighing and rolling her eyes), "Well, we must have gotten your phone number from somewhere for something! Someone is overdue on a payment. Maybe it's a family member." They even called on my mobile phone and left messages. She couldn’t even tell me what account it was on. I told her if they called me again on any of my phones I was going to report them. She sounded huffy and hung up on me.

Can they collect from a minor?
When I was thirteen years old, I joined one of those "Get 10 books for one-dollar each!". I have fulfilled the obligation, and I was even a gold member at one period, but I have moved quite abruptly last year and missed a single order. I am now seventeen. I moved back into my old residence and I'm still getting notices in the mail. My fee has apparently accrued to $120. I just blew this off, but I was told that it could still cause me to have bad credit even though I am a minor. Is this true?

I taught them a lesson
On 4/21/08 in the middle of a very important call Allied Interstate Company called. I was unable to take the call and checked my messages. The massage said to call 1 800 955 3103 So I did. I asked them how they got my number. They hung up on me. I found this rude and so I gave them a dose of their own rudeness. I called them all day every few minutes. They told me they did not have time for this game. But they did ask me to call them so I continued. All day they have the ability to block my number. lol something we should have for them. But being a smart person I *67 and continued some more. They were able to block that as well so being a smart person I had an old calling card that was going to expire so I used that. I continued on with calling them asking if the calls bothered them. I think they might have gotten the point but am still not sure so I will call them tomorrow to be sure.

This is how I got rid of them
This is how I got rid of Allied Interstate and telemarketers annoying calls!
After my phone company said they couldn't do anything:
First, you need to cancel phone landline, get a cell phone.
Then after you get a call, add them to your contacts and assign/program their number not to ring or assign a silent ringtone (I made my own by recording 5 seconds of silence and uploaded to my phone).
I do not work there, I found them on the internet!

Any call you do not want to answer, can go to youmail dot com, call forwarding. You can give any pest a recording that only they can hear.
Like a fake "I'm sorry this number has been disconnected" I did this and I got rid of my stress.
At youmail dot com, you can also have anyone that calls you with their caller ID blocked, receive a special message. It sounds hard, but anyone that is good with phones or computers can help you.
They also have fun and friendly messages for callers you know. Be happy and do not let the stress off allied or telemarketers get to you. Ignore them.

Trying hard to pay
I begged this firm to send me something in the mail so that I can see what I owed, whom the debt was owed, and an invoice, proof of sale, or receipt of transaction for my records and that I would pay in full immediately. I explained I cannot give financial information over the phone to someone I do not know who claims I owe money from several years ago.
I was told, very angrily, that it is very difficult "to not pay over the phone" and that "the person who faxes docs won't be in till Monday". I find it:
A) hard to believe there is one single individual within this organization who has the aptitude to send a facsimile.
B) That this debt has allegedly existed since 2006, although this is the first I've heard of it, and yet they are furious if a fax can't be sent from them till Monday (4 days) to ensure 100% immediate payment from the debtor.
C) The employee called and did not respond when I answered. I called back whereas she did not even tell me her name and why she had called until I dragged it out of her.

Why AREN'T collection agencies governed by do not call list?
I don't understand why these collection agencies aren't regulated by the do not call lists. I have had this phone number for 8 months now and I continually get phone calls for people who don't live here! I have always paid my bills on time and yet I have to put up with harassing phone calls about other people's debts? WHY?
Usually it is Capital Recovery Systems bothering me, but now Allied Interstate is calling. I have requested to be taken off their list, so if they call again, I will add their name to the complaint form I'm sending to the Office of Financial Regulation.
WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK!!!

Continually call my home
I am mailing you in reference to being harassed by a comp. called Allied Interstate who as I understand it has been sued numerous times in the past. They continually call my home every day as early as 8:30am. I know for a fact that this is not legal and something needs to be done!!! You cannot speak to anyone when you call them!!! HELP!!!

Annoying calls at work
I am writing to complain about Allied Interstate. I have received messages at work to call back "ASAP" from a "Christine". When I answer my extension she wants to know my social security number, to make sure she is talking to the right person. I asked her nicely to not call me at work. I have received letters and I had already made payment arrangements, but they still call me at work, wanting to know my social security number.
