I inquired about an insurance quote on my home and vehicles. She called me with the quotes and I asked her to mail the information to me so that I could read it over. I told her that I was not interested in changing policies. This was back in August 2009. The next thing I knew I received two bills. One for my home and the other for my cars. I called their office and asked them to cancel the bills and policies since I didn't want either. They said over and over with at least five or six phone calls they would take care of it and I am still having problems. They not only sent the insurance bill to a collection agency. They also sent a FS1 to NC Division of Motor Vehicles and had the nerve to tell them I had changed companies without my permission. I thought I had resolved all this last year but no. I just received new registrations for my vehicles still with Allstate on them. How can a company be permitted to do something like this without my permission. Now I need to order new credit reports to make sure they haven't affected those as well. I think it is a shame that they have the freedom to do something like this. I have wasted an incredibly large amount of time on this over the last nine months. There should be some kind of controls in place.
