Fraud and cheating
I received a letter from afni collections saying I owe on a cell phone I never had... they say it happened in jan of 2000, at the time I had a girlfriend nicole curry... she stole my social security # and my daughters birthdate to get one... I never starting using alltel until 2003 when i met my husband and even then I was not the primary, the phone was in his name. When i talked with alltel they said in feb of 2001 a woman called them and said i was in the hospital. (It was not me) I plan on going to the police about this as well...

Alltel telephone service
Alltel customer service is so frustrating. I moved due to work and am not living in Front Royal. Alltel has no towers up here and I never get more than two bars. Most of the time I have no bars or one bar. My calls get dropped all the time. They will not let me out of the contract. They say all I have to do is pay for the next 9 months. I tell them that they are not providing a reliable service and they tell me that there is no requirement for that.
I cannot believe how poor their customer service is. My calls are dropped every day. I see their adds saying that I should get credit. I never get credit for dropped calls. A rep said there are no dropped calls on my record. I have no idea what they are looking at. This company just is so bad. They have no idea how to treat customers fairly.

Scam charges
For the last 3 months, I have been charged 5.99 several times each month for a premium axcess purchase called Csw jokes/Horoscope. I did not authorize this and am wanting a credit on my Alltel bill. In March, the charges were 17.97, in April, the charges were 23.96 and in May, the charges were 5.99 for a total of 47.32. Will you do something about this or whom should I contact? This is very frustrating because when you finally get through to Alltel service, they tell me that they can't make the adjustments, this is a third party billing and I have to file a complaint. So here is my complaint, please help me out smb!

Billing issues!
I checked my bill on the phone today and it says it was 420 dollars. My bill has never been that high so i called to ask why. The only explanation was I had been using the internet on my phone a lot but guess what according to my phone I DON'T HAVE INTERNET!!! It ask me to do a one day pass which is like 5.99 i think. The woman at Customer Service said i did it and i never did but still how is that going to run my bill up to 420 dollars. GOOD QUESTION HUH. But after she said i bought a one day pass then she says i have unlimited internet because i have unlimited text messaging. What kind of sense does that make??? Then what beats it all is if i had unlimited internet (which i don't cause i don't have internet period) How could my bill go up cause its unlimited?? She says its cause it would take it away from your minute plan. Ok so how is that actually unlimited??? Your guess is probably as good as mine. It doesn't make any sense at all. All it is is a big scam. They think people out here in the world cant figure out what kind of a business they are running. Thats why everybody i know is going to Cricket now. The customer service people just kept trying to find a reason for why it was so high but never could find a good one. She just wanted to keep blaming it on some internet that I DON'T HAVE!!! Please if you don't have service with them already chose someone else cause they are no good.

Unauthorized access billing!
I signed a two year contract for two cell phones with Alltell in September 2007. Starting in October 2007 I was charged $9.99 a month for something called Ringaza. I didn't order or authorize what ever this is, and I don't even know what it is. The charges continued through January 2008. On February 21, 2008 I was charged $1.99 for an Axcess Web Day Pass. In March 2008 I was charged $9.99 for Trivia Alert and another $9.99 for Game Alert.
I spoke with Alltel and they told me they were not responsible for outside company charges. Hello, they were on my Alltel bill. I know they don't just collect for other companies for free. If they were that "big hearted" they would protect their customers from these scamming companies and reimburse us for all the unauthorized charges they are billing us.
I have been doing business with AT&T (Cingular) since 1995 and I have never had this problem. I know I'm not the only one out there being scammed. Maybe we should all file a lawsuit against them? I'm not exactly sure how to go about that, but I am going to contact an attorney. If anyone has had any luck being reimbursed and stopping these charges, please advise me.

Poor customer service skills!
I would like to share a very terrible experience that cause me a 1 hour drive, gas, mileage and a big headache at a Alltel retail store. It began with a LG8600 gold razor phone. Paint peeling and poor connection. I was told to go to the nearest Alltel store to change phone for another cellphone. It"s still under warranty. Visit the store and right of, dude, They tell me that I can't change phone out, liquid damage(please do not buy leather or any cases for these phones are sensitive to moisture. So therefore had to do an insurance claim. Spoke with my insurance company( get insurance for your phone!!!) and was told ,yes you can get phone for a fee of $50.00 hmmm! Yes paid it really needed my phone. Everything is bought out to me, but they give me a green phone , no problem with color but check phone and it has a little peeling on it. I tell the sale rep he tell me this is the only color I can get that the insurance company states I can only get this color. LIES, call Asurion while he'd listen, they have nothing to do with what color you get, as long as it's the same brand and same model. He was being a complete (anatomical hole) said their policy states I get what I'm given, ohh yes I reported his name and all to the Alltel Corporate office and to the insurance company and by the way the whole time he was telling me all these lies I had both reps from Alltel and Asurion on the phone whole time. I went on ahead and got the phone but I did put a claim in the stated all the problems I had to go through on what was suppose to be a great day. I know there are a lot of good people out there who would like to know, check your phone make sure it's not sensitive to moisture, that may void your warranty (sweat can kill your warranty) pull the back of your phone battery out if the circle indicator is pink. DO NOT STEP FOOT IN AN ALLTEL STORE OR CALL BECAUSE YOU WILL BE THERE CONTEMPLATING ON <Why did I ever buy a cellphone with Alltel!!! Read the small print and ask questions.

Simply Horrible
Alltel has got to be one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. It is dificult to tell if their horrible service and dishonesty is merely severe incompetence or outright theivery. I have been their customer for 2.5 years, and am no longer in a contract. First of all, they do their billing really screwy. you pay your monthly service fee for the upcoming billing period that you haven't used yet. While you pay overages and fees and minutes in arears for the past billing period. Purposely misleading perhaps but not illegal. However, four out the last five months they have made errors on my bill, all in their favor of course. It has become routine, every month i call them to fix my bill. The usual overage they try to charge me is around 100$. So I have to waste an hour of my day to call them up and get them to correct a mistake they never should have made. Here's an example of their latest funny math on my bill:
included in my plan: 500
Used: 1,446
Overage: 269
charge: 107.76$
Now I never used anywhere near that many minute, and they did correct it, but I shouldn't have to keep calling them to have it corrected. Also they overcharged me on my service charge. It's supposed to be 39.99$ per month, instead they charged me 59.99$ I asked them to correct this and they said it would be added as a credit on my next bill but I would have to pay it now to avoid damage to my credit. So let me get this straight, they admit the charge is bogus, but they refuse to remove it and demand i pay it, and they will refund me later. So apparently now Alltel has the right to use me as their personal bank! able to extort loans whenever they want, only to say "oh, we'll credit you later". Bullshit! I don't want them collecting a cent of interst on my money. I have no problem paying for a service that I've used. However I refuse to be robbed. Alltel you are an example of what is ruining America.

they let my brother sign me up for my last contract so to get a new phone for him without my permission they knew who I was was not mistaken identity they knew who I was stuck me with a cell phone that didnt charge made me charge my insurance 3 times to replace new phones that didnt charge finally got phone out of them that took charge but reception was terrible had no choice but to opt out of contract got a letter from alltel got copy crediting me back my final charge of965.75 only to have it show up on my credit report collection agency even agreed with me that it was bogus have made 20 calls to alltel about this keep transferring me and putting me on hold and even hang up on me
