suspended line
My line has been suspended, and it is going now for 4days. I have spoken to a no of people there there name are: Alaric Fin no 0116505334 cell no 0822621153, Jacky no 0116504253, and Jonathan. I ask theme why my line is suspended and they say that my no is not rica at mtn. I have checked ont the MTN site and my no is RICA, I even have checked on the Altech side and my no is RICA there too. So what is the holdup! I have spend A lot of money to phone them on this no 0861232424 wich should be a free no. Who is going to pay me that money back. I am tired of this. what should I do. Can I cancel my contrak with them for I do not want to deal with them any more. They have very poor service, and can never give me any answers. I will never deal with them again. I can't wait for my contrack to be over. As far as I go I will tell people no to join them for they are not any good. They are fast for disconnect your line if you just pay a little late, but poor to reconnect the line if you are up to date. please I would like answers from them!

Autopage is the worst ever
They will 'lose' contracts, they will forge signatures, they will increase your bill just because they can, they will send debt collecters after you when THEY make a mistake - they probably need more money to pay off auntie Edith - a brilliant website is http://www.autorage.co.za/autopage_bad_service.html

Account and Service
I have been trying for months ot get my account sorted out with this company. I had no idea, that if one's credit card is stolen you need to give the new card number to Altech to ensure your account is debited, and at no point was I notified of my account being in arrears. When my 3G card was suspended, it took 7 days and 5 calls to get the reason code for suspension, which is thee first time I realised my account had not been paid for 3 months!!! The accounts clerk took my new card details, updated the debit order details on system, debited me immediately for the arrears on my account and assured me that my 3G card servivce would be working the following day, once the debit had run over night. I was highly annoyed to find that 3 days later, the service was still suspended, after 4 calls, I was told that one needs to phone AGAIN after the arrears have been settled on your account in order to have your service activated! This is not automatic! Finally I get the serviec working, only to get an sms 3 weeks later saying my account is in arrears and my service will be suspended! I again phoned the company, after 10 minutes of holding on the accounts clerk says there is a problem with the system and my account is not in arrears, and the service will NOT be suspended. 3 Days later... my service is SUSPENDED! apparently due to my account being in arrears. When I again phone Altech, they tell me that I have to go and pay them cash before they can unsuspend the account and the reason the debit order did not go through is because the clerk who changed the details did not confirm a debit order date with me! I cannot believe the incompetence and the rude unhelpful staff that work for this company. I have been a client for 14 years and this is the service I get! I have NEVER had a problem with my account until this year and the theft of my credit card. When I have asked on several occasions to be put through to a manager, I either get put to another arbitrary department, or they disconnect me. At one point, when I complained for being disconnected when supposed being put through to a manager, I was told its because I'm angry that the agents deliberately cut me off! What kind of customer service is this? In my industry this would be call for a compalint under undesireable business practice! Is there no recourse for this arrogant, unhelpful company?
ANY other service provider would be better than this one!

Suspension without notification
Altech Autopage has suspended my account 4 times over the past 3 weeks without giving me any notification of the suspension. I was mugged and my credit cards were stolen about 6 weeks ago. Apparently the debit order was linked to my credit card, and not the account, and so the account payment could not automatically be taken from the account. Upon first cancellation, I phoned Autopage, gave them the new credit card number once the problem was explained to me, and paid the account immediately. My service was reconnected within 1 day. For some reason the payment did not go through. However, I was unaware of this problem. 1 week later, my service was suspended again without any notification. I phoned Autopage and told them payment had been made, and they reconnected my phone immediately. I told them that I received no notification of the suspension, and they told me that messages had been sent. The following day, my account was suspended again. I phoned again, and told the complaints employee that the company needs to fix the problem of not sending me notifications. The employee stated that he would not do anything for me until payment was made. I have been with Autopage for about 12 years, and must admit that I have always been disappointed by the poor, poor service I have received from the Customer Care department. I went onto my bank account in order to e-mail the payment record again, and found that the payment had not been made. I immediately corrected the issue, and sent payment off. I then sent at least 5 e-mails to a variety of the customer services departments, and not one human reply was received. My account has been suspended again - one week later - without notification again, and now I am really disgusted by this absolutely useless company.

Suspension of Line
I'm qiute feed up with Altech Autopage they can't deliver or solve any problem of their subscribes, I had a contract with them, the account is up to date but my line is still suspended its been about a week now. They simple just say switch off your phone and switch it on again they don't even exactly know what they are doing the are clueless and I believe this Company shouldn't even exist they deliver a service well. I wouldn't advise anyone to take a contract with them.

out of bundle rattes
Out of bundle rates, are according to their website, 41c per MB, on the Vodacom website it states R1, 20 - R2, 00 per MB. As I have been a Altech client for 10 years and at present have 4 contracts with with, one of which is a MYGIG 1, 2 that started in August 2008, this contract according to their terms and conditions they may from time to time increase the rates, that is the monthly rates, no where is it indicated the actual value of that rate. I have just paid them R6k for out of bundle rates...and there is another pending account of R4k. When I spoke to a manager at the customer service centre in JHB, requesting my itemised billing to be sent to me, he requested that I send a letter. 1. It must be on a letterhead, must be faxed to them, etc. Amazing that they want everything in writting from you, however they failed to notify you of increase rates in writting on a letterhead. We all understand our consumer rights, and I think it is time that we all stand against these organisations that think they do it by the book, however there is always a loop hole, a big one. Where does one obtain information regarding the rates you paid at the start of the contract, versus what you are paying now, as well as, according to the consumers act, have the service providers notifed you as the end user. Where are the binding written notifications. Vodacom is going RED, yep for sure, just like eskom, you pay more and more, however you get less and less.

no statement
i am sick and tired of begging for statement. i have same cell number and po box. i am due for upgrade in october and am still battling my ass off to receive statement since begining of my contract, and seriously considering another provider. My rcomendation is to use any other service provider.

useless and incompetent
After spending 2 week, including 4 hours on the phone Altech Autopage was still not able to process my cell phone contract.
Thapelo Jacob Raboroko never returned my mails, kept me on hold for up to 46 minutes at a time, never got back to me and kept passing the buck.
I am furious at the terrible and rude treatment I am getting, after all I am the customer

Extravagant billing
My storie is baie kort. Hou selfoon rekeninge by MTN, rekening nommers Z0002807 en A2796262 en by Altech Autopage rekening nommer 4053721108..
Ek het verhuis en aangesien ek my eie besigheid bedryf het ek my Blackberry foon onder nommer 0833796909 by Altech Autopage as diens verskaffer gebruik op die internet.
Die diens is veronderstel om gratis te wees want ek betaal ‘n ekstra fooi daarvoor per maand.
Gedurende begin van Maart 2011 het Altech Autopage my geskakel en aangedui dat my rekening baie hoog loop a.g.v. internet verbruik. Die bedrag beloop tans R10, 300 vir internet gebruik waar net 3 Gbytes afgelaai is. SKOKKEND!!!
My rekening beloop tussen R1, 500 en R2, 000 p.m. vir oproepe gemaak met geen kostes vir internet nie.
Die stand van my rekening was alreeds meer as R10, 000 net vir aflaai van informasie oor die internet. Die foon was as ’n modem gebruik, onbewustelik dat ek ekstra daarvoor sou betaal.
Fine as ek verkeerdelik gekoppel het op die internet dan moet mens seker daarvoor betaal. Wat my stom slaan is die tariewe wat hierdie diensverskaffers vra.
Die koste was oor die R10, 000 vir aflaai van net oor die 3 Gbytes van informasie. Elke keer as daar ingelog word kos dit R50. Die tariewe wat hulle dus vra is R2, 333 PER Gbyte.
Net as voorbeeld hiermee tariewe wat ander diens verskaffers vra..
1. MWeb se paket is R269 p.m. vir onbeperkte gebruik van internet deur middle van ‘n ADSL lyn met Telkom. Ek het so stelsel vir jare gebruik.
2. Cell C het ‘n modem wat ek twee dae terug gekoop het vir R2, 999 waar hulle 60 Gbytes voorsien deur middle van inskakeling by die internet. Die koste beloop dus R50 per Gbyte teenoor ‘n “wopping” R2, 333 per Gbyte by Altech / MTN!!!
3. Blackberry se paket kos R60 p.m. en dit gee jou onbeperkte gebruik .
Wat skokwekkend was is die feit dat Altech Autopage my gedreig het om my foon af te skakel omdat die rekening so hoog geloop het. Dit na jare wat my rekening elke maand stiptelik betaal is. Na vele gesprekke het hulle ingestem dat ek die rekening oor drie maande kan betaal en dan sal hulle my foon nie afskakel nie. Hulle was eenvoudig “adamant” dat daar geen konsessie gemaak kan word nie. Ek bedryf ‘n besigheid vanaf my foon en sonder my foon is ek verlore. So wat staan my te doen. Betaal broer betaal al weet jy hulle “rip” jou af!!!
Die ironie van die saak is dat MTN my R2, 000 laat betaal het vir oproepe wat ek nooit gemaak het nie. Dit het byna ‘n jaar geneem voor hulle my daarvoor te vergoed het. Ek praat nie eers van menige besoeke aan hulle takke om die saak uit te klaar nie. Al hierdie feite is op rekord.
Ek is al verbruiker by MTN vir 15 jaar en by Altech oor die vyf jaar. Hulle houding was eenvoudig, jy het die internet gebruik en jy sal daarvoor betaal. Ek het gespekke oor die aangeleentheid gehou met Kadesh by telefoon nommer 0823214891, Annemarie Snyers, Pinkie en Meisie by hulle rekeninge department.
Pinkie het toegestem terwyl die gesprek opgeneem is dat ek oor ses maande kan betaal toe bel Kadesh my en dui aan dat dit nie toelaatbaar was en dat 3 maande die langste periode sou wees.
Dit is regtig skokwekkend wat hierdie diensverskaffers vra. Hulle druk letterlik geld en is amper 50 keer duurder as die paket by Cell C wat ek nou gebruik.
Die diens verskaffers het ‘n “royal” tyd in RSA want hulle tariewe is geweldig hoog in vergelyking met eerste wereld lande.

I'm getting very irritated with Autopage. I've never had an account with Autopage, but they keep on debiting my account for someone else. In Junuary 2011, I send them an affidavit of total charges of R664.19. They realize that my Bank account was used incorrectly, and then the funds was paid back after a period of time. This morning I saw that my account was debited again for the amount of R834.68. I spoke to Avish and faxed through paperwork again, and tried to phone him afterwards. They don't put me through to Avish, and I need to explain my story 5 times over to different people. This now put me in a bad light because my debit orders can't go through today now. I need this to be sorted out emmidiatly and the money to be paid back into my account today.
