Fraud and theft
I signd up for a certain number of violin lessons for my thirteen year old son. They supplied a teacher and honored that number of lessons. When it came time to renew we paid $400 dollars for additional lessons. Just when we did that his teacher said that he would no longer be able to conduct the lessons. We contacted the company and explained that we would like a refund instead of starting over with a new teacher. They have yet to give us that refund after months of calling them. I am more outraged today (3/4/09) because they went into my account and removed an additional $400 dollars. I didn't receive my original $400 and now they take an additional $400 for services which I have cancelled. This is fraud and theft. I have tried calling but get a run around or a voice mail. I am not the only person this company is doing this to. The complaints are all over the Web when I search Amadeus Music School. This company should be shut down.

Stole my money
I paid for two 32-week lessons - for me and my son. Initially, the instructors came. But soon, they stopped coming because they were not getting paid.
I tried contacting the school SEVERAL TIMES via email and phone, but never got a response. Then the instructors also stopped answering the phone calls.
At present, my son has 19 1-hour lessons remaining, while I have 25 1-hour lessons remaining. At a cost of about $70 per lesson (I can't remember the exact breakdown), they owe us over $3, 000.
I want my money back.

unauthorized charge on my credit card
on 3/3/09 amadeus home music school made an unauthorized charge for $440.00 to my visa debt/credit card (issued by my federal credit union) for music lessons never ordered, never recieved. he also runs this scam under the following:

Unpaid Teachers!
I have been working for Amadeus for about a year and a half now. In the beginning it was good, they paid on time and gave me lots of students. But then I had to start reminding them to pay me and I let it slide for far too long! I have not been paid since mid-January; when I called to complain, I was told that no one was getting paid! They owe me almost $1100 in wages that I will probably never see! I will now have to jump through hoops with the state to get paid!!! No one is returning my calls, emails or anything and I am FUMING angry!!! They are theives and have been ruining my good name for almost 4 months now.

Unpaid for lessons
I am a music teacher in Chicago. I was contacted by Amadeus to teach in home lessons. I was paid for my first 8 lessons(payments were supposed to be every four) but now, it's April and I haven't received payment since November. 12 45 minute lessons. left unpaid. No one returns my calls or emails. bastards.

Fraudulent charges & no refund
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE COMPLETE FRAUDS. Had signed up for their services in August. The piano teacher stopped halfway thru and never received refund despite repeated requests. Gets worse...they recently charged my credit card $1600 in January and then tried again 3 days ago but were denied as deemed suspicious. Donna said they had been hacked into and the charges were accidental...and oh by the way the owner just happens to be abroad for the last couple months...So like I said Don't do business with this company!!!
Will also be reporting them to the authorities.

Run down of my terrible experience
On Tuesday July 1st, 2008 I received a phone call from the Home arts school (a Donna person) explaining that my cello teacher would not be contacting me as scheduled since she/he was finishing up with another student. I was told that she/he would be contacting me the following week to schedule lessons. Although quite disappointed, I understood. However, after I waited for another week and still did not hear from my teacher, I called last Tuesday July 8th to inquire about the situation. At that time I was told that the situation was unfortunately the same as the week before. It was explained that the teacher was over-booked but stated that she/he would definitely be contacting me by the end of the week. I told them that I would be out of town on Thursday and Friday and gave my cell phone number to pass along to the teacher to be certain that I could be reached. On Tuesday July 15th I still had not heard from this teacher on either my cell phone nor my home phone.
Furthermore, I called the office the next day to discover that the person I had been calling before, Lucy or Lisa, had quit and was directed to call Donna Esposito. I left 2 messages briefly explaining the situation and asked that my call be returned. I did not hear from Donna so I called again this morning at 10:30 a.m. And left another message. I’ve also contacted customer service and left messages with them. Thus far, no one has returned any of my calls. Donna's voice is irritating to say the least. She sounds like a shut in who is afraid of everything. She must be a nervous wreck, working for these jerks. I kept hearing mention of a Michael Lawson and Heath Mensher (whom I researched online to discover that the only Heath Mensher is some kind of fledgling filmmaker person--oddly enough, it IS the same Heath Mensher-there's a voice on one of the videos that this Heath Mensher posted that has a voiceover that sounds IDENTICAL to one of the voicemails I was directed to by Lucy/Lisa...very very fishy). Michael Lawson apparently is the President of this so-called company. If this is true, this man should be put in JAIL!
I scheduled 2 months of lessons to begin July 1st for a very specific reason. July is my least busy time of year and when I have the most free time. I purposefully chose these dates to allow myself the necessary time to get started with my new instrument.
No one has contacted me to schedule lessons as was promised nor has anyone from the company contacted me to offer an explanation as to why the teacher has not yet contacted me. I paid for these lessons via credit card at the beginning of June. I expected services to begin on the date we had scheduled. Had I known at the time of signing up with your school that I could not have begun lessons on July 1st, I would not have signed the contract for 8 lessons with your company. I would have begun my studies with another local teacher who could have accommodated my schedule.
I expected a full refund in the amount of $464 but I am STILL trying to get something done. I want these people stopped and their leaders put in jail and I'm going to do whatever I can to make that happen.

Stole money 2009
My husband and I set up in home music lessons for our girls as a Christmas present. We ran searches to verify the authenticity of the company and were met with glowing reviews. The music lessons were to start in January of 2009 however the instructor was a no call no show. We called the company but were unable to get through because either no one answer or the line was busy. My husband was alerted that the company charged our credit card another 500.00 so they have stolen in total over 1000.00 from our account and have not contacted us once since the lessons were arranged.
Now when we research this company there are numerous complaints with the BBB and customers are instructing those with similar complaints to go through small claims court as a way to recover money. We are incredibly upset and fear for the loss for not only ourselves but many others. Perhaps we can all get together and file.

no refund no teacher
BEWARE: Unfortunately, I join the majority in their opinion of these thieving scam artists - Judging by the comments posted here, I can kiss any hope for a refund goodbye. My story: I paid up front for guitar lessons. Our "teacher" was reliable at first, then cancelled and "doubled" the lesson times on numerous occasions. Our "teacher" was actually a forklift operator moonlighting and had no formal schooling. I wanted my son to learn to read music and the chords. Neither was ever taught. What was taught, were some heavy metal tunes. Most of the lessons consisted of my son watching the teacher play away on my son's own guitar. We did develop a relationship with this "teacher" and being ignorant of the art of music teaching, I naively re-enrolled for another course at 880.00 About three months into the roller coaster ride of lesson rescheduling, Our "teacher" became very unreliable, cancelling last minute 4 weeks in a row. When I called to ask for another teacher, I was assured one would be provided. Alas, The one provided was even more unreliable and never even made it at all. The second reason left on my answering machine for cancelling was: "I forgot I have a gig in Manhattan tonight, maybe we can get together next week.
Enraged and frustrated, I spoke with Donna (who seems to serve in the capacity of kindly jerking people off) who assured me that she would speak to "Jason" (who I am now certain is fictional) and I would be satisfied with their "solution". About 2 weeks and 6 emails from me later, Donna left an extremely long and sad story on my voicemail at work: "Now I really know why Joe (the latest loser no show "teacher") didn't show, It turns out his mother is very sick and dying in California and he moved back so that explains why he could'nt make it to you" HUH????? That's my sad story, I am owed money, haven't been contacted and join those who would be interested in putting these thugs out of business.

No refund and no comment from them!
This company has ignored my calls now for three months. I have been attempting to get my $464 back due to their inability to get a piano teacher to come to my home in Woodbridge, VA. Donna is useless and Heath is a coward to let Donna take the heat. I will be contacting the AG of New Jersey, the BBB and my credit card company for my refund. I will also be investing time and energy to help this company fail.
