I am a former teacher of Amadeus Home Music School and I just found out that they go under a different name of Allegro Home Music School as well. I have not been paid for a month and I had no choice but to quit. I am owed $620.00 with the possibility of it being $1, 020.00 if the two checks I deposited to my bank account bounce.
I believe this company(ies) to be a scam and fraudulent. I called both numbers under the two company names to find that the same woman is on each voicemail. I found this info on a blog of complaints about Amadeus and tested it to see if it's true. Seems pretty suspicious.
I was hired under the name Amadeus Home Music School and I am unable to get ahold of anyone to help me with getting my pay. I have emailed and left phone messages since the beginning of March. At first I got some responsess about payroll having issues, etc., and now I get voicemail and no response from my numerous emails. The people I used to work with on this won't answer my calls/emails or have been fired or have quit. My clients have been charged multiple times on their credit cards and are not getting responses from Amadeus as well. The good news is that the credit card companies and banks are willing to work with my clients and so far 1 client has been credited back her unused lessons.
I see that Allegro Home Music School website has been created in 2009, probably to get the disgruntled teachers and clients off Amadeus' back. Amadeus' toll-free number is 1-800-448-1628 and Allegro's toll-free number is 1-800-207-3994.
Any help and/or advice would be appreciated! I plan on going to the Montgomery County Consumer Affairs Office in Maryland to see what I can do on this end. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Meghan W. Elkins
