Their price is bipolar
This is my first time trying to order from Amazon and their price is BESERK! I decided to Prime membership to get the free shipping and blahblahblah. One day an item was $13.87, next day it's $14, next-next day it's $13.87 again. One day I get taxed, next day no tax. WHAT? I have no idea how much to pay since I'm using a prepaid card (I needa get a credit card soon...).
This was really frustrating! Yesterday I needed my laptop stuff ASAP so I was like, okay, whatever, I'll just order it. But I was taxed $3 - what? I haven't been taxed all week! (It's been in my cart). But I ordered it, then hours later, I tried again, $0 tax - so I cancelled my order, and ordered this again.
Uggggghhhhhh. Amazon, you need med for your bipolar prices!

seller account closed
I had an amazon seller account for years until they closed my amazon seller account. I tried to contact them but they said they couldn't give a response because it was private info. So much for liking amazon all those years until now. People should be aware that amazon can close their account any time.

Closed my account without any reasons
This is the only explanation they gave me to close the account:Hello from Amazon.com. This is an auto-generated message to let you know that we have blocked your Amazon.com seller account and ended your listings. You may no longer sell on our site. We took this action because your seller performance has been below our performance standards. You may have received notification in previous months that your feedback, A-to-z Guarantee claims, and/or refund rates were out of compliance with our seller Performance Standards. You may have been provided with suggestions for operational improvements to help you meet our standards.Unfortunately, any improvement in seller performance has not been consistent and has failed to meet our Performance Standards. If you still have items to ship, please take appropriate steps to resolve your pending sales. Your Seller Account will remain accessible and you are encouraged to refund or ship pending orders. Your funds are being reserved in your Amazon.com account pending receipt of any Guarantee Claims or chargebacks for which you may be responsible for. If you have questions regarding any funds that may be due you, please contact us at [email protected]. We take such steps in the interest of maintaining a free and fair venue for all participants. Please note that the blocking of your account is a permanent action. Regards, Seller Performance A Meltdown economy, this is not my 1st time i was selling my personal products and when i was able to sell more, they just close my account.Something is not right, Believe that the actual situation is pushing to most of the people to a total madness;but this don't justify their reasons.

Be wary - they just want your money
As an amazon seller in good standing (98% X 2 + years), I would think that these a**holes (whom I paid $40/mo) would give me even a slight consideration. Wrong! These pricks refused to answer my emails, wouldn't explain their policies when I had questions, ridiculous - may they die in internet hell! Be wary - they just want your MONEY!

Service going downhill
Amazon apparently is no longer honoring it's Amazon Prime commitment to ship within two days. Trying to work through customer service has been surprisingly pointless and tedious. No response to my email inquiry. The online chat feature was even more tedious and pointless. Oh, they admit that they aren't sending it as promised, but that's it. Sorry. A wasted 20 minutes on line with someone in India or maybe Pakistan who simply read me what was available online as if that constituted a service. Amazon Prime is no longer prime.

lack of support
I recently searched the Amazon website for a luxury leather office chair, found the one that looked best and ordered it. The chair wasn't supplied by Amazon but by another shower called MBA trading. The chair had a very long and confusing description that went something like, luxury office chair Chicago pu leather 21. Some of you may already have seen the problem. the Pu part of the description is relevant to the leather not Chicago. This basically means that the £105 chair I bought was cheap plastic and worth about £40, thanks Amazon. Happy with the way the chair looked and convinced it was leather as I searched the Amazon site for a leather chair, it was almost two months before I realised I had been ripped off!
I went to my Amazon account and was instructed to contact the seller. I did so telling them exactly what I thought of their expensive plastic chair and pointing out that the term PU leather is reportedly illegal in the UK. They merely pointed out that the return period was over. So I contacted Amazon for their help, they said the return period was over, thanks Amazon. I explained everything (as above) and their response was, ah well, you didn't buy the chair off us, you'll have to take it up with the seller, it's all in the marketplace terms, nothing to do with us, thanks Amazon.
What a load of crap! I went to the Amazon site to buy a chair, whether they supplied it or not is irrelevant, if it wasn't for the misleading description on the Amazon site I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE CHAIR! I didn't go to any other site I went to the Amazon site therefore I hold them 100% to blame. Do Amazon really think this kind of response is going to endear them with customers? Wouldn't it be a much better solution for them to replace my chair with a leather one and have me writing blogs about how amazing Amazon are, instead of persuading people not to touch them with a barge pole. Will I ever buy anything from Amazon again? What do you think? When hell freezes over. I urge anyone else who has been fobbed off by this giant concern to post a complaint on this board, maybe together we could all take action. I reckon if no one bought anything from Amazon for a month that would spell serious trouble for them, what a good idea.

Shipping
I have found several items on Amazon.com that if you order 2 then shipping cost is doubled or 3 and its tripled etc. Take clothes pins here is the site http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DEIKOK/ref=s9_simh_gw_p201_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=18DBYYWJ80VRAX6AR3KF&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
Look to the right and you see shipping $5.82 now change quantities to 10 now shipping is $58.20 the shipping no matter what exceeds the item cost! How can they charge that much for items weighting maybe 1/8 lb?

amazon closing account
I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF AMAZON FOR MANY YEARS. A FEW MONTHS AGO I OPENED A SELLER'S ACCOUNT. I SOLD ITEMS, WAITED THE 2 WEEKS, THEN THEY PUT A REVIEW ON MY ACCOUNT FOR APPROX 90 DAYS. IN THE PROCESS I COULD STILL SELL JUST NOT GET MY MONEY. AFTER THE REVIEW I WAS ABLE TO GET A PORTION OF MY MONEY BUT A 30 DAY REVIEW WAS PLACED ON MY ACCOUNT. SO I STARTED LISTING MORE ITEMS AND MY SALES WERE HIGH. WHEN MY SELLS GREW AMAZON CLOSED MY ACCOUNT AND SAID THAT WE (THINK, that you MAY be selling copied goods). THEY DO NOT ASK ANY QUESTIONS, THEY ASSUME. THEY DO NOT ASK FOR PROOF OF INVENTORY, JUST SAY THAT THEY THINK, BUT THEY WERE STILL ALLOWING SELLS TO COME INTO MY ACCOUNT AND WANTED ME TO HONOR THE ORDERS. SO MY ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED, MONEY IS FROZEN FOR 90 DAYS AND I AM LOOKING CRAZY... THEY DO NOT CONSIDER THE LONG HISTORY. THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO, BANK INFO. ADDRESS, PERSONAL INTERESTS. THEY HAVE NO LOYALTY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS... EBAY IS BETTER! I DID READ THAT AMAZON WAS DOING THIS TO PEOPLE ALL ACROSS FLORIDA.I WOULD LOVE TO GET IN ON A CLASS ACTION SUIT AND IF I COME ACROSS ANY I WILL DEFINATELY LET YOU GUYS KNOW

Account closure
Absolutely appalling customer service. Very rude e-mails from executive customer services department.
Claimed that they did not receive back damaged and faulty items that they had authorized to be returned despite the fact that they were provided with a copy of proof of collection obtained from the courier.
A huge company granted however their attitude towards extremely loyal customers via e-mail is absolutely disgraceful IMHO. They basically believe they can speak to people as they see fit and you're completely powerless to express your dissatisfaction as they've closed your account(s).
Considering they claim that they're a customer-centric company this is no way to treat customers of whom have been extremely loyal to their brand.
