My Amazon Wireless.com Nightmare
On Weds. 4-20-11 I ordered a HTC Evo4G for Sprint service on the Amazon Wireless web site. It was FREE 2 day shipping. On Fri. the 22nd the order was not received . I called customer service, and it was THEN, that I was told Amazon did not even have the phone I ordered, and that it would be 10-12 days before I would receive the phone!!.
I told customer service to cancel the order, I would try and get the phone locally, and was put on hold. She came back on and said she couldn’t cancel the order because a phone was on the truck at the warehouse in Kentucky. I felt like they were stalling me, and I insisted on the cancellation. She said she would email me a return shipping label, and I could return the phone after it got to me. I never received the email with the return label.
The next day I was unable to buy the phone locally, I began looking for the phone that was supposed to be on the truck. UPS website said a label had been created, but they hadn’t received the package yet. Later on Friday night UPS had begun to ship this phone. Over night it made it to CT. During Sat. the 23rd it moved to the distribution warehouse for UPS 20 miles from my home…. WITH A RETURN TO SENDER NOTICE!!!
I called UPS, and they said only the sender could stop the return notice. I call Amazon C.S. and they said they would try and stop the pending return of the package, and would inform me how they were doing.
I get an email from Amazon C.S. saying they could NOT stop the return on the package, and they were sending me a new order on this phone, delivery on MAY4th!!! I never agreed to that second order, nor did I want to wait another 10 days!!! My nightmare with Amazon won’t go away!!
I called Amazon C.S. and gave them hell and demanded a cancellation on this new order and a full refund immediately! N EVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH AMAZON AGAIN. WORLD’S WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…..AND….DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICE OF OFFERING FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING ON PHONES THEY DON’T HAVE IN STOCK.
