Not received DVD of Star Trek
I have purchased by paying thru my credit card on 19/02/2006 for CD pack of STAR TREk. They have till date not sent me the same. They were supposed to deliver by 04th may '2006. I do not know how and whom to contact as I stay in India. I suggest to be very careful ordering from Amazon.com if you live in India.

Is Amazon a reliable company?
What company would have the "courage" to send this type of message to a client?

"I have reviewed you account and your orders. I do apologize for the frustration and disappointment in this matter.

As it appears we are unable to ship items to the address that you have provided I have now requested refunds to your account [...]

These refunds will result in your not being charged for your order. If by chance you receive your items please keep them with our
compliments."

A comment: I payed in September and now, December 11, I find that Amazon has no control of its shipments. Bad news.

Changed shipping without notification!
I have been buying from Amazon since 1999 without any problems, but in the last year or so I have noticed their shipping has really slowed down.

Today was the last straw for me. I placed an order for three items on Dec 4th, one was a book that was a pre-order and was to be released on Dec 12th. Because of that, I did not choose super saving shipping because I wanted the other two items to ship right away to make sure I had them in time for Christmas, so I paid for the shipping option. My confirmation states that the two items besides the book would ship on Dec 5th. Today, I noticed my credit card still hadn't been charged so I checked my account online to see if they'd shipped, well the shipping info had been updated and showed they were waiting to ship all items together and they would ship on Dec 18th, it even said in my account that the items would not arrive before Christmas. So I sent them an email asking why this had been changed, and let them know I was upset since they never bothered to notify me that my items would not arrive before Christmas, even though I had paid extra for them to ship earlier. There response was, "Sorry you didn't understand the shipping times when you ordered the items. Our site currently states the one item will ship in 4 to 6 weeks" so there is nothing they can do. The site clearly did not state that when I ordered it and I have a confirmation stating differently. I was bothered they didn't notify me of the change, since it was pretty significant. I am cancelling my order and am getting the items from another site which can deliver before Christmas.

Be sure before you order!
Just wanted to share my recent experience with the online retailer Amazon.com and why I've decided to stop using them. I've ordered a few things from them in the past and their delivery has always been a little off. The last item I ordered is a gift for my nephew:

1. I ordered the item on June 9th 2006 with standard shipping which is supposed to be 3-5 business days. As of the end of 23 June 2006, it has not yet been delivered. 2. It was shipped on June 12th and has been in some DHL holding area in Santa Monica, California (it's destination is nearby West L.A) since June 15th undelivered to my nephew. 3. The estimated delivery date was June 20th - June 23rd (I don't know how this came about based on 1 above). And you all they can say is for me to wait until the end of the 28th?

Be sure before you order. They have also listed some things as "usually shipped within 24 hours" but you could get a message after you order saying the time is backordered. When you go to your order, you have no way to cancel.

I've given them chances before and have had enough of them.
