Dear BBB,
Please help solve this situation with Amazon that I have been trying to deal with but failed. I have a huge mole problem in my 2 acre lawn. So I ordered Molemax (gets rid of moles from yards), 12 plastic BAGS advertised on amazon.com, each bag was advertised to cover 5000 sq ft. This would help cover 60, 000 sq ft of my lawn. I was sent 12 plastic BOXES and NOT the BAGS, the boxes contain half the advertised coverage (2500 sq ft each box).
I can buy the Molemax here in Iowa. The only reason I ordered through Amazone was because I could not carry the heavy weight from store to my house.
Here is the problem: The picture of the 'Molemax' that Amazon advertised is a big bright yellow bag, and says it covers 5000 sq ft. To check for yourself please click on the following amazon site:
http://www.amazon.com/Bonide-692-691-5LB-Molemax/dp/B000RTR2XM/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1
(The Amazon keeps changing the picture, so I hope you were able to see the yellow bag on their site).
I wrote to Amazone, many many times and they refered me to a company called 'ozbo'. But the 'ozbo' says that Amazon put the wrong picture on the site and so its not ozbo's fault. I have written to Amazon and to ozbo over 15 times, but the latest that Amaone has written to me is, and at the bottom are 2 e-mails they sent me.
Please check the entire complaint to know what I am complaining of. Amazon says I have to pay for the initial S and H which was about $35 and now they want me to carry the 65 lb box to the local post office and again pay the S and H to get a refund, becasue they made a mistake and put wrong picture up on their site. I am being shuttled from Amazon to Ozbo. But I NEVER ordered from ozbo. I ordered through Amazon. They put the wrong picture up. Why should I have to choose between having either half quantity of the Molemax or hiring a person to carry this huge weight to the post office and paying in total over $ 70 for the S and H. I myself weigh 125 lbs and I am not young and strong.
Please help resolve. I have informed Amazon that I am contacting you.
Thank you,
Asha Rijhsinghani
Below is a sample of e-mails between me and Amazon and ozbo.

Order Id: 104-4594303-3042640
ITEMS:
Bonide #691 5LB Molemax
Comments:This is continuation (e-amil) of my order which was 'wrong amount of product sent-half the quantity. The company has contacted me and wants me to mail teh product back to them. Here is a big problem: they want me to pay for teh S and H to me, as well as back to them. That is in total over $70! Does this make any sense? I need you or them (ozbo)to send me a retrun package since I should not be paying for the wrong item they sent. Please tell me how to handle this. Until they send me a retrun paid box, I cannot mail back their order since it weighs over 60 lbs and is very expensive for me to do taht, as well as very unfair. Thanks!

Asha,
First off, we are very sorry for the problems. Please note that all pictures and descriptions on Amazon are placed there by Amazon and not by the vendors who sell on their site. We simply provide Amazon with the UPC number and a price and they are responsible for placing the proper picture and description on their site. If a picture changes at anytime or the description, Amazon does NOT notify us... they simply do it. So by saying we were unethical or misrepresented the product, please note that it was not us, it was Amazon correcting a mistake. The UPC that we provided them with was for 5 lb of Bonide Molemax which covers about 2, 500 sq feet.
As the mistake was Amazon's and they must be aware of this since they changed the picture to represent the correct item, I suggest that you place a claim through them. State that the item you received was not as described. Amazon should credit you for your order since they misrepresented the product. You can then order more product from "whomever" to meet your requirements.
If you feel that Amazon does not treat you up to your standards, please let us know.
Thank you!
Andrea
