I wanted to be sure that my mortgage payment would not be counted as late. When I called the CSR told me that the phone payment fee was $15.00 and the online internet payment fee #10.00. This is outrageous, since they get their money almost IMMEDIATELY. If I had sent a check, it would have to go through check processing--a longer process; but FREE!!!

This kind of "rip off" must be stopped.

Unfortunate enough to have had my mortgage bought by ASC one year ago. It is a company run by computer and no common sense. Have to spend time every month with these folks. They are clueless, claim fees are owed, try to run a business without an office where you can go to straighten them out. I refuse to communicate with them further other than by written correspondence. Recommend to all people that they reduce all communications to writing too. These folks are boobs and here to rip you off.

When we refinanced our home our loan was with litton loans then they sold it to asc. We got behind in our house payments as my husband had been unemployed for almost 4 years. So they said they would try to do a loan modification but it was taking them for ever and in the mean time they were tacking on fee after fee. So we put our home on the market to sale. It was up for sale only three weeks and it sold. Now we need to do a short sale and these people are dragging their feet. And has told us it would take another forty five days for them to make a decision. Now we are in jeopardy of loosing the buyers. We have been working on this now for a month. And we are no closure . They kept saying they didn't have the papers; our realtor and the escrow company faxed them everything five different times; before they said they finally got them. These people are robbers and need to be stopped. Isn't there anything that can be done. They are in the mean time just raking up fees right and left.

I too have had bad dealings with ASC, they are the biggest rip off company I have ever dealt with. Like everyone else we were with another mortgage co then sold to ASC. We had nothing but problems from the get go. We finally got fed up not only with the harassing phone calls and the horrible voice mails left , the threats of foreclosure and the threats of ruining our credit we sold our house to purchase a new one. Well while our house was on the market we were foreclosed on, never received any court docs showing a foreclosure or anything. Then when our new mortgage company checked our credit one last time before finishing our new loan they found a FORECLOSURE! So in order for us to buy our new home we had to get a higher interest rate instead of 5.6% we were given 11.7% and that was with $180k cash down on a $461k home. So when you think you will be paying $1900 per month for your new home you have waited over a year for you end up paying $2900 per month and have to jump through hoops just to get that loan. At the time this was all happening it is hard to explain to someone what is going on and hope and pray they believe you. It really doesn't matter because when they look at your credit report that is what they see, nothing else. You can talk until you are blue in the face, it all comes down to the report that they have control over. They can give the 3 reporting agencies any information they want without any proof just their word and wahlah! YOU ARE SCREWED!!!

Needless to say before we bought our new home and while we still had them for a mortgage company we refinanced and got out from under them, oh! About 3 years or more now they are still showing our loan as an open unpaid account and YES! Screwing up our credit still to this day. Our new mortgage company even tried calling to get a letter showing the loan was paid years ago they manager called him every name in the book and told him to never call there again and hung up on him. I tried calling everyday asking for the letter and was told "I already mailed it", "I will fax it right now, wait by your fax machine", "I will have to get your file for a copy of the letter". I was given every excuse in the book. So the stress continues on.

I HOPE THEY ARE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS AND SUED BY THE BIGGEST LAWYERS IN THE WORLD. And I hope all the employees they have there are never able to find another job, and lose everything they have.

Last year my mortgage was sold to ASC from Decision One mortgage. All of my problems started with ASC. First they claim that Decision One never sent them any payments so I was responsible for those payments. I contacted Decision One and was told that all payments were sent. ASC said something different. I have been trying to get this account in good stating since then, sending double payments. I explained to ASC that all of my payments should be 1 month ahead and not 1 month behind. I noticed that it takes them 3 -4 weeks to process my payment which causes my account to appear late and it accrues late fees. Another thing, the money orders that I send never was posted to account. I have spent more money trying to investigate where I brought the money order from, then there are fees on top of fees to have it investigated. Meanwhile ASC sends threatening notices and their representatives leave unacceptable messages on my voice mail. I do not trust their new website to make payments. Half of the time I cannot find it and when I do, it does not give you the option to modify the payment. So if they had not posted a previous payment to my account it will show a higher balance and it does not allow you to change to the correct amount. I want to refinance this mortgage to go with another company, but I don't want my new mortgage company to sell back to ASC. Even though I asked when I initially refinanced if my mortgage would it be sold and I was told that it would not be.
