OHG, this place has great deals, but their customer service is awful!!! It took us 4 weeks to get all of our $3000 forth of furniture that we bought from them! Finally after 2 weeks of waiting for 3 pieces they got new management!!! Reallllllyyyy, it took that long for someone to realize that they didn't care?! I called 5x aweek asking where our "next day delivery" was, and everyday it was, " yes, I will personable put it on the truck" -----2 weeks later and 10 phone calls it arrived. Even the subcontracted moving company that delivered our furniture hated them. I am a restaurant manager at a well known restaurant and if I ever treated my customers the way they treated us...we would of been closed 2 years ago!!!

lies from general manager and manager
date told of delivery of furniture by district/general maneager also product being set up by delivery man. manager/said glass was not in but had glass that she said i would like, didn't come on delivery. all this was said n done in a timely matter of short of 5 weeks.

Requested a refund for merchandise never recieved
I requested a refund from American Freight because I have been waiting for 3 weeks for the merchandise and the merchandise I received was not worth the money I paid for it.

Unprofessional and Unethical Store Managers
Where to begin! In good faith we purchased a bedroom set from American Freight for over $2600.00. What a mistake. It was purchased January 30th, 2010 and everyone was exceptionally nice during the purchase transaction acting like they were doing you a favor. One part of the set was missing, after we told it was all available, but we were allowed to take the floor model piece to make us whole. Great deal transaction done! Wrong! Upon getting the set home and unpacked it was noticed that the head board to the 6600 London King Bed Frame was damaged beyond any reasonable repair. Store was called and we took the headboard back to exchange it to find the unit to be exchanged with was in worse condition, after they told us over the phone they had looked at it and it was in great shape. Wasted trip! Not only wasted trip they had to "order" us a replacement (remember we bought it 1/30/10 it is now 04/07/2010) and would not allow us to leave the damaged head board there but to take it with us and use it until the "new one" came in. After a heated dispute at this point and not understanding why Juan Gonzales (Store Manager) was being so rude, confrontational, out right lying, and unprofessional that we refused to take the damaged head board with us. They were to contact us when a new one arrived. After placing 5 calls to them over approximately 70 days (2.5 months) they finally told us the head board had arrived, they had inspected it, and it was in great shape and ready to be picked up. Eurica! Not!! Upon arriving they only had the floor model (of which was damaged at the time we first reported ours damaged - we checked) and the one we had returned 2.5 months ago. There was no head board at least not any in "great condition"! We were told at that time again to take our original back home and use it until they could provide a replacement. Are you kidding me! Who does business like this today and survives! I will never purchase another thing from them and will do my best to ensure no one else ever does. The way the economy is today I find it hard to believe they cannot find courteous, knowledgable, ethical employees let alone store managers. There were other people in the store with us tonight that were just as unpleased and mistreated as we were. The new potential sales targets were treated well...for now. How does a business such as this survive? We have resolved to contacting TV13 On Your Side to try to make a difference and I hope you will as well! Hit them in their pocket book and I hope the store manager finds it is not his calling as his people skills...well...he doesn't have any!

My Order
My Complaint with American Frieght is this: This is my second purchase from them. My first purchase went well so I decided to purchase from them again. This purchase was, A twin mattress set, two end tables, one coffee table, and a lamp set. Well I made the purhcase February 18, 2010, paid in full, my order was sheduled for pick up Feb. 22. My husband and I pick up the mattress set Feb. 26, 2010 (they said the mattresses would come in first). We asked them when would the rest of our order be ready? And they told us the following week. So March 3rd, 2010 comes around and we call and they said our order was ready. We went there and they said they only had our lamps avaliable. I said to them we put our order in Feb 18, 2010, why didn't it just all come together today(March 3rd)? They said that they had their orders crossed and they had to reorder our tables today ( March 3rd 2010) and that the manufacters were behind on their orders. In his explaining this to me, he was nasty and rude, as if it were my fault. I said okay, (very upset by now) my husband said you know things like this happens, lets just wait a week and see if it comes in then. I said okay. I need to add that we only paid $103.88 for the table set. I have called them over and over and over again, and they've told me that it's the manufacter, there's nothing they can do about it and that when it comes in they will call me. I've called them continously day after day with them telling me, well your order was only a little over a hundred dollars, or there are others who are waiting on there furniture and it's out of our hands. Today is March 30, 2010 and they told me to call today because my order would be in. Guess what it's not in. So I called the corporate office, I did not get an answer so I left a message. I will see where this gets me.

furniture/rocker-recliner
We bought a whole front room full of furniture just over a year ago. About 3 months ago the arm of one of the rocker recliners broke. We took the chair back as it was our understanding that it had a life time warranty. But in talking with the manager, we were rudely told that I should never have leaned on the arms of the chair to get out of the chair. That it was only CARDBOARD!!. And that it was not covered under the warranty.
If we had been told that there was only cardboard in the arms of the chair we would NEVER had bought it. We were told that everything but stuffing and cloth was covered by the warranty. It's not like we abused the chair..we are not obese or rough on the furniture..no kids at home either.
The manager was VERY rude and told us he would do nothing for us.
POOR quality furniture...
LIED to when told about he warranty.
HORRIBLE customer service. The manager was VERY rude.
Want to warn customers NEVER to buy from them!!!

refusing refund and non delievery of paid furniture
purchased livingroom set on 02-01-2010 its march 8 2010 no furniture no refund after being promissed delivery on 02-15-2010 refund asked for on 03-04-2010 sales manager stated that my refund will be posted to my account in 72hours 5 days later no money contacted store again on 03-08-2010 adam [manager very unsure of what to say about refund asked to speak to someone in authority no one thyere also tried to contact regional manager [joel from corporate office twenty times or more no reply all i want is my money retured with intrest if for nothing else i can produce reciept of purchase and refund from company will look into legal action against company if necessarya phone call from here will be gladly appreciated

cheap furniture/customer service
Usually i dont not blog, good or bad, but i just wanted to say that i purchased a Queen bedroom suite from American Freight ..it arrived 9pm Monday night. Today is Friday morning, but please tell why my bed breaks everytime you sit on it!!! i have fixed and proped that bed 10 times since i got it, the wood is so thin and cheap that the nails strip right through!!! I called and talked to the so called Manager who told me that the bed was not broke when it arrived!DUUHHH the freakin bed was still in the box!!! I see where this is going, so im pretty sure i wont get any of my 1000 and some old dollars back.. but good will not come to those who do evil! I would ONLY recommend this company if you need something not made of wood and dont expect to have it a very long time, i guess you get what you pay for :(

they do not stand behind their furniture
I went into American Freight December of 2008 and purchased 7, 000.00 worth of furniture and paid cash.
When the furniture was delivered an end table was missing all the legs. The box was open and had been obviously a display. I was told that it was impossible to be a display and that the legs would be ordered. (it never was) The mattress and box springs were NOT what I had ordered. The manager would not refund them. Or even exchange them. The head office here in Ohio wouldnt do anything eaither. I even contacted the better business buerau. A few months later the sofas that I bought from them were coming apart in the seams. They said it was not covered under warranty. SO, over a year later and I still have a table with no legs in my garage and the furniture is falling apart. Nothing I bought from them was worth the money I paid. AND they did not stand behind their furniture.

I TALKED WITH SHANNON DISTRICT MANAGER FOR AMERICAN FREIGHT, SHE IS A VERY NICE LADY WHO CARES, I HAVE EVEN SPOKE WITH HER BOSS MIKE OUT OF CALIFORNIA IN REGARDS TO THAT SHADY MANAGER THEY HAVE WORKING FOR THEM IN MARIETTA GA.

I AM SO VERY SICK OF SHADY SALES MEN AND SUBSTANDARD CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT SHOP AT AMERICAN FREIGHT IN MARIETTA GA... THESE GUYS ARE GOONES, STRAIGHT UP CROOKS!!! GO TO ANOTHER FURNITURE STORE, PAY A LITTLE MORE IF YOU MUST! IF YOU SHOP AT AMERICAN FREIGHT FURNITURE YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY! I AM! PLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE READ ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THE MARIETTA STORE THEY TRIED TO STEAL MY MONEY!!! I AM NOW AWAITING MY 843.22 TO BE RETURNED!
