used, old furniture instead of NEW
AMERICAN FURNITURE GALLERY IN SACRAMENTO IS A BAD NEWS-THEY GIVE YOU USED FURNITURE AND CHARGE YOU COST FOR NEW-THEIR DELIVERY SUCKS-GIVE YOU SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT WHAT YOU ORDERED-CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WORST-WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR NEW FURNITURE AFTER 4 MONTHS, AND THEY DON'T WANT TO RETURN THE OLD USED FURNITURE SOLD TO US IN THE NAME OF NEW FURNITURE.
THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.

Terrible customer service
After 1 1/2 months and 3 deliveries of damaged furniture, I asked for my money back. The manager told me that i was being picky and that he would not refund the full amount to me, that he would take several hundred dollars, for a re-stocking fee, even though they could not deliver undamaged furniture.

Non-delivery of product after payment!
Paid $6500 upfront on March 16, 2008 for an Ashley bedroom suite - sleigh bed with underbed drawers, armoire, dresser, 2 nightstands, vanity w/stool - with a delivery date between 3-4 weeks. At week number NINE (9) May 18, 2008, still no furniture except for the bed headboard & footboard. We called last week to have them come pick up the HB/FB and refund our money. They said a truck would be out on Saturday May 17 between 10-3. No truck arrived. We called and they said they didn't have a truck available... they didn't bother to call us! These Vietnamese business owners give POOR SERVICE, LIE ABOUT DELIVERY DATES & MAKE PROMISES THEY DON'T KEEP. After paying over $3, 000 for living room furniture, the entertainment center was damaged during the set-up, doors don't close properly, the wood on the sofa is scratched, the end tables have nics in the wood... overall poor quality of product and service. Very disappointed in this store. I do not recommend them.

Inferiorly constructed furniture
In August 2007, we ordered a love seat from American Furniture Galleries. In October 2007 a love seat was delivered to our home but it was not the right love seat. The love seat was reordered and on December 13, 2007, another sofa was delivered to our home. This love seat had the right material but was inferior in construction. American Furniture Galleries refused to pick up the love seat, refused to return our money and is attempting to force us to allow them to rebuild the love seat. The price of this love seat was $1619.59. Why should we settle for a rebuilt love seat? We paid big bucks to get quality furniture. How can they refuse to pick up their product when it does not meet the customer's satisfaction? Is there no protection for the consumer... especially elderly consumers?
