Sounds like a Scam
I had a interview scheduled today with AIL, after reading all the comments yesterday I could not sleep last night. Its sad that you like all day for a job hi and low and when you get that call for an interview you get happy thinking its your luck break until you come across something like this!!! Well, at least I can say thank you folks for saving my time and money from even dealing with them. Needless to say I cancelled my interview and will continue on my job search. Thank you!!!

Scam
I am a regional Manager named Anthony Osborne. I am here to admit my guilt in the scam. I deliberately and willfully scam hundreds of people here is my email if you wish to discuss further details about this pitiful company

Scam
Well, I received a generic e-mail from AIL today, I knew right away it was specific to my skill set I have on my resume. It was from the CEO (which rarely EVER happens) and had a link that said "Click Here If Interested" both HUGE hints. I am a Business Marketing degree and I know enough that an entry level position will not make $60, 000-$90, 000 per year. It unfortunately just, doesn't happen.
I did post my resume on Monster.com, like many of you here, and I'm so thank-ful for all of your feedbacks, and kind words. It's great we're looking out for each other because it's a scary world and I really didn't want to waste my time and energy.

Thanks again, all the best!

DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH THAT COMPANY IF U ARE LOOKING FOR A JOB THEIR NOTHING BUT LIARS AND HYPOCRITES, THE MANAGERS TELL U ORIES AND NOT THE TRUTH UNTIL YOU DO UR OWN RESEARCH ABOUT THE BAD REPUTATION THAT THE COMAPNY HAS WITH ITS EMPLOYEES. A COMPANY THAT CHARGES U FOR THE TRAINING ITS A FRAUD AND A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY THIS COMPANY IS ONLY COMISSION PAY AND NOT HOURLY OR SALARIED.THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD LIKE ANOTHER FRAUD COMPANY KNOWN AS VECTOR MARKETING,

I GOT A CALL FROM AMERICAN INCOME TO COME IN FOR A MANAGEMENT POSITION AT THEIR COMPANY AND MY FIRST INTERVIEW, I WAS EXCITED AT FIRST, THEN I PASSED THE INTERVIEW AND TOLD ME TO COME IN FOR MY SECOUND INTERVIEW THE NEXT DAY, IT WASENT EVEN AN INTERVIEW ITS WAS A PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY'S HISTORY, EITHER WAY I WENT LIKE I SAID I WAS EXCITED OF GETTING A FULL TIME JOB...ANYWAYS I WENT THEIR WAS ABOUT 20 OTHER PEOPLE WHO ALSO ATTENDED THE REGINAL MANAGER WAS GIVING THE PRESENTATION ABOUT THE COMPANY AND HOW IT WORKS THE TRAINING AND PAY, I SAW A LOT OF PEOPLE EXCITED THAT DAY BECAUSE IN THIS ECONOMY RIGHT NOW ITS HARD TO GET A JOB RIGHT NOW ANYWAYS, AFTER THE MEETING HE GAVE EVERYBODY A FOLDER THEN ITS SAID THAT THEY CHARGE FOR THE TRAINING AND THAT THIS COMPANY IS ONLY COMMISSION BASED NOT HOURLY OR SALARIED, WHEN I WAS AT JCPENNEY I WAS IN JEWELRY I WAS HOURLY AND COMISSIONED BUT HERE AT AMERICAN INCOME ONLY COMISSION WITCH TOTALLY SUCKS!!! ANYWAYS WHAT MAKES ME UPSET IS THAT THE REGINAL MANAGER THAT WAS GIVING OUT THE PRESENTATION THAT DAY ABOUT THE COMPANY AND ITS HISTORY NEVER ONCE TOLD US THAT THE TRAINING WOULD COST MONEY$$$$$ COMPANYS PAY FOR UR TRAINING U DONT PAY THEM!!! AND HE WAS SAYING THAT THEIR LOOKING FOR TRUSTWORTHY EMPLOYESS AND THIS GUY IS NOT EVEN BEING HONEST WITH ITS AUDIENCE. I FEEL BAD FOR THE OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE IN THAT MEETING I SAW A LOT OF EXCITED PEOPLE LOOKING FOWARD OF GETTING A NEW JOB AND IT ALL TURN OUT TO BE A COMPLETE TOTAL FRAUD AND LIES. I CANT BELIVE THEIRS COMPANY'S AND PEOPLE LIKE THAT ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME OF NEED AND THE HARD WORK AND PRESSURES OF LOOKING AND GETTING A NEW JOB. I GOT INVITED TO A THIRD INTERVIEW TODAY, IM GOING TO GO NOT FOR THE JOB BUT BECAUSE I DID MY RESEARCH ABOUT THE COMAPNY AND ALL ITS COMPLAINTS ABOUT BEING A SCAM AND ITS EMPLOYEES, I PRINTED THEM OUT AN WHEN I GO TO THE INTERVIEW IM GOING TO SHOW ALL THE COMPLAINTS TO THE REGINAL MANAGER IN HIS FACE AND TELL HIM THAT IM NOT INTERESTED IN A COMANY AND MANAGERS THAT LIE TO ITS EMPLOYEES AND THAT THIS COMPANY AMERICAN INCOME LIFE INSURANCE ITS A WASTE OF MY TIME AND ANYBODY THAT APPLYS FOR THIS COMPANY RIGHT IN HIS FACE LOL!!!

JOB
How do you know if the JOB that you have interview for at American Income Life is VALID??

Here is HOW..

I submitted my resume for an ENTRY LEVEL/MANAGMENT position here in Middlebury, CT. I DO have insurance experiance. Have had experiance since "07". Went in and it was like a class room full of people. And the "employee" was talking to us about how much money we can make. I left their thinking it was a great chance for me to work for a great company and a great chance to make some CASH. That was until my Husband ( just for HA HA's) sent in his resume too. Mind you that the position is for Insurance. My husband is an HVAC TECH. ( Nothing to do with ) insurance. His resume states nothing about experiance in the insurance industry, nothing ever remotly close to what the position was for.

GUESS WHAT...

They called him and told him that, they would like to set up an interview right away because he has ALL the qualifications to be MANAGEMENT. He has never delt with insurance before. So if your thinkin that this is a great chance. Think again!!!

Scam
I was told to come to an interview in Springfield, IL and dress professionally and all that as well. When I called to cancel my interview I did reach a voicemail, but not an actual person, which I found odd. This company is definitely fishy...I'm glad I researched it before I drove all the way there to interview for a scam.
Do Not Go To An Interview FOR THIS COMPANY!

Harassing phone calls
This company will not stop calling my home phone number. Several months ago I had requested that a representative from the company contact me about supplemental life insurance, however after speaking with them I decided I did not want the coverage and explained that I was not going to do business with their company. At least once a week since then, and for the last few weeks, I have received unsolicited phone calls from that company. We usually ignore the calls when we see the company name on the caller ID, however my wife answered the latest call and told the rep to stop calling. The rep continued with her "sales pitch" and ignored my wife's request to take our phone number off their contact list. When my wife requested to speak with her manager, the rep rudely told her, "No, you don't need to speak with my manager, " and when my wife asked her again the rep hung up on her. I hope this will end the calls from them, however I just wanted to let potential customers know that if you attempt to do business with this company, they WILL NOT STOP CALLING YOU!

WIERD
First I was contacted via email. I rarely follow up on those as the majority are nothing but "BOT" programs designed to pull your inof from Monster or Hot Jobs. well this one was a little different as I also received a phone call. I was informed that the company was very interested in interviewing me. What was a little wierd was, that the person calling me said his name and than said "My boss told me to call you and set up an interview. "Dress Professional and bring a crips new resume" He set up an interview with Sasha Rogers the Human Resource Director. I was a little skeptical why an HR guy would have an associate call, but I can understand a busy person does indeed do what they must. Besidess I need a job and I was excited. 3 days went by and I kept receiving emails for recruiting from Sasha which also thought was wierd. Now these emails came directly from Sasha and I noticed that the address for where this HR Director is at is not the same address as where my interview is. Ok so they have multiple locations. The final wierd thing was when I received a reminder for my interview the day before. The email was poorly drafted and it was not from Sasha. I decided to go on line and look for some info and I found this complaint board. WOW... I found out that the company is rather sketchy. After reading many complaints of the EXACT SAME THING, I decided to call as well as got the same treatment that other got. I found out that I am not interviewing with Sasha. They refused to give me any information for the position I was to be interviewed for. I was told LOOK WE ARE A 50 Year company and dont need you. Beware.. In order to be a life insurance salesperson you must take a state exam. Who pays for the training??? Not them. Who pays for the exam??? not them... Oh watch out for Desk Charging similar to what the real estate business does. they charge you for your desk space. LOOK AT THE BBB Better Business Bureau webstie

Employment Scam
I posted my resume to careerbuilder targeting a position as a Maintenance Supervisor/HVAC Technician. I received a phone call just a few days later by a man named 'Tom' pitching me about a Maintenance Supervisor position and to come for an interview the next day at a location approximately an hour and a half from my home. Something about the call didn't seem right so I decided to do some research online about a company whose name I realized at the end of the call wasn't even mentioned. His suspicious email with directions not listing a name as the sender, only hrtampa, from a web domain they didn't own ( ailcfl.com which I'm assuming is American Income Life Insurance, Central FL Branch?) had me wondering. The only advice I can give to job seekers out there is to do a reverse look-up or google any companies that contact them directly from the web as most of them are misleading or scams... and I was clearly correct about my instincts on this one!

Selling member's list
PR reps for American Income life are responsible for going out and get new customers for there company example VFW, American Legions. Unions, clubs and Associations just for a few. When the PR signs a new company they ask for the member's rooster with names and address where they can mail there member's info on there new insurance. The PR is responsible for addressing most of the new clinets but they can also send the info on to Texas for there home office to do it.But all member list go's though the PR reps hands first.Which allows them to sell the member's info out to another company (third party) for money that go's right into there own pocket. With nobody knowing. Please be careful don't let your member's list get out .
