This school is a joke! My whole entire experience with them lasted no longer than a month from my initial interview thru getting thrown out of school housing! Now I have a $5, 000.oo loan on my credit! I went in hoping to make steps toward a better future with their "art" program and they took advantage of the fact that I had to come to L.A. alone because my mother is on permanant disability and could not travel!
They told me they would help me out and walk me through all the "financial aid" a week after I was there I got a phone call that I was "accepted" and I could move into school housing. (Which turned out to be run down apartments in westchester!) I moved in with 2 other girls with similar stories! For 3 weeks I walked around the school with no real schedule and no one to help me! They shuffled me and my roommates around and made us feel like we were the stupid ones! On the 3rd week of us being there they called us on the phone and said we didn't "qaulify" afterall for financial aid and we had the weekend to get our stuff out of the student housing building or they were going to bring a sheriff and put a lock on the door!!! I was from northern california while the other girl was from nevada and the 3rd girl was as far away from home as tennessee!!
We ended up on the streets with NO ANSWERS, no returned phone calls and now all 3 of us have a $5, 000.00 loan on our record that none of us can afford to pay that is just RUINING our credit!
This happened when I was barely 18 yrs old. Now, that I am 24 and I realize this is not only something that has happened to me and my friends, but to other people, I will be fighting tooth and nail..THIS SCHOOL IS A THEIF IN DISGUISE! DON'T LET THEM RIDE ON YOUR DREAMS TO FILL THEIR POCKETS!
