I purchased a package of laser hair removal treatments from American Laser Centers 2 years ago. The package was a little over $5, 000, included 6 treatments + a 2-year "guarantee" that said that if any hair comes back after that time I can continue treatments.

The nurse/salesperson informed me when I bought the package that the treatment would still work despite the fact that I have fair skin and hair. 2 years later, I found out from the manager of this location, Angie Lake, that there is a separate package for blondes offered since treatment takes longer.

I have had appointments canceled at the last minute. I schedule appointments months in advance because I have a very limited schedule. They are very unaccommodating in rescheduling appointments that THEY cancel. I asked for a refund and they refused. They made cutbacks, e.g. they don't have a receptionist answering the phone and you have to leave a message and maybe you'll hear back within a day or two.

They have essentially made it impossible to complete the terms of the contract & have committed an anticipatory breach.

For my last appointment, they told me for the first time when I arrived that their new policy was to not use ice to numb the area before treatment. However, treatment that is to be remotely effective must be at a high level and is very painful. Had I known this fact in advance I could have taken painkillers or bought numbing cream, but instead I had to endure excruciating pain for 2 hours.

Additionally, the treatments have not been working as purported. They are painful, expensive, and a waste of time and money. AlC has been deceitful and it's clear that their goal is to get your money at the outset and offer no customer service after the fact.
