Manager YELLED at me (customer)
You never yell at the customer. I don't care how bad you're PMSing...it's just a big no no especially if you're in the service industry like these guys. Here's my email I sent to the regional manager:

Hi ‘Regional Manager’,

I was told that you are the regional manager over the Salt Lake City
downtown American Laser location, managed by ‘Inexperienced Manager’. I'd like to inform
you of an incident which should be followed by employee correction
action.

There was some miscommunication when I transferred my account from the
Draper office to downtown SLC. I was told "You don't have to pay for
parking" by one of the girls employed at the time I transferred my
account to downtown. So ever since then, I have NEVER paid at the
meter. So about 3 weeks ago when I had my appointment I got an expired
meter ticket. I gave it to ‘Inexperienced Manager’ and explained to her that I was told
that I didn't have to pay for parking. She concurred and took the
ticket and said, 'We'll take care of it for you.'

A week later I get a call from ‘Inexperienced Manager’ telling me with a frustrated tone
of voice that they wouldn't be paying for the $15 ticket. I told her
that I was told that I didn't have to pay for parking. She then
explained that I was allowed to park in the BACK parking lot. This was
the first time I had ever heard of a back parking lot. Because of the
miscommunication, I told ‘Inexperienced Manager’ that it was American Laser Centers
responsibility to pay for the ticket since NO ONE had informed me that
there was a back parking lot.

She then retaliated very rudely and said, 'Well, just so you
know this is coming out of my own pocket. I hope you enjoy your
weekend knowing that.' (Something to that effect). I was INFURIATED to
say the least. No one has ever treated me like this being the
customer.

I then called the Draper office to request that I have my account
transferred back to Draper. I also requested to reschedule my
appointment. They informed that they couldn't reschedule until they
had my chart at their office. It has been 2 WEEKS since then and NO
ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK to reschedule my appointment!!!

In addition to this nightmare I received a letter from Salt Lake City
informing me that the ticket hadn't been paid! As a result, it has now
been increased to $45!!! ‘Inexperienced Manager’ lied to me and never paid for the
ticket!!! THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

Aiming for optimal customer satisfaction should be one of your goals.
Apparently your managers do not understand that a happy returning
customer (which I was for the last 3 YEARS!) Is far more valuable than
trying to acquire more customers. They also don't understand that a
bad experience is told to far more people than a good experience and
believe me I have told close 20 people already who I am sure have
already told many more. I was also considering buying an additional
package and paying up front. ‘Inexperienced Manager’ has made my decision for me, because
there is no way that I am going back there. You do the math-you could
have received $1500 in revenue from me from the package I was going to
purchase or just deducted a minimal $15, which would have retained a
happy customer and incremental revenue of about $1485. Obviosuly no
one at your company understands the importance of customer
relationship management.

In summary I'd like to highlight the bad customer experience milestones:

1. I WAS SPOKEN WITH A DISRESPECTFUL TONE OF VOICE AND COMMENT BY ONE
OF YOUR MANAGERS.

2. I WAS LIED TO BY ONE YOUR MANAGERS SINCE SHE NEVER PAID THE TICKET
WHEN SHE SAID SHE WOULD

3. NO ONE TRANSFERRED MY CHART TO THE DRAPER OFFICE

4. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK TO RESCHEDULE MY APPT IN DRAPER

Terrible company
This company claimed that i had won a 300 dollar gift for entering a drawing that i don't even remember entering. i knew right away that it was a scam for more money and it was but when they somehow worked it so i could get credit from care credit, i caved and signed up. I have a terrible problem with facial hair and am already very self conscious about it. they claimed that 6 treatments would take care of the problem with results showing after the 3rd treatment. to top it off, they require that you do not wax or pluck hairs but shave. (do we not all know that shaving only thickens hair) They're the professionals, so i did what they said. three sessions, three different practitioners, three totally different treatments. (not how its supposed to be by the way). i was not able to make my fourth due to an accident on my way there. they would not let me receive another treatment until i paid their $35.oo missed appt fee. and would not bill me. this is after they put in debt for over 1200 dollars. Needless to say, i have had to shave my chin at least twice a day, i am developing razor bumps, i cant pluck, there is too much hair, i look like a circus freak and don't know what to do. i have taken pictures of my chin and plan on sitting in front of their office to prevent them from ruining anyone else life. I hate them.

No Refund, 6 months later
I signed up for a 2 year under arm hair removal service for about 900 back in September. The next day I lost my job and decided I had to cut some things because very soon money would be tight. I called that day and cancelled my services and they said I would receive a refund in 8-10 weeks. It is now 2-6-09 so about 5 months and I have still not receive any refund. Chase medical who I financed through calls me at least 3 times a day and I call American Laser daily with horrible customer service and then I get transfered to 10 different people until they finally put me through to voicemail. I have left at least 50 voicemail messages with a "supervisor" and I have never once received a call back. Now it's time to get my lawyer involved. I still have no job and cannot even make a payment towards chase medical. Thank the lord for friends who happen to be lawyers!!! NEVER GO THERE, HORRIBLE TECHNOLOGY, HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE PROFESSIONALISM, POINT BLANK...HORRIBLE!

No Refunds and Horrible Customer Service
These people said they guarantee their products with 100% satisfaction guarantee, and when I returned their facial cleansers because it burned my face they said I would get a full refund. That was in August 2008 and it is now January 2009! I was patient and understanding when trying to get information from them at first and now I am PISSED OFF!!! Sandra, the manager at the Charlotte office off Sharon Amity, is completely USELESS as are their customer service representatives! Their customer service manager does not return calls! They have had my case "pending" for half a year and that is inexcusable and completely stupid! Do not trust these people! Oh yeah, their microdermabrasion - complete crap. My skin never improved or benefitted in anyway from their services. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

Unprofessional, Untrained, Poor Management and Scars to Prove It
I went to American Laser Center of Dallas. When I signed up, I was told it would take six sessions with two years to go back if any came back after the six sessions. When I asked how others had treatments I was told just about everyone sees great and immediate results and I would too. It has now been three years.

Often I would have to wait for treatments because they were running late. During that time, I overheard the technicians discussing a burn on another client. One of the girls accidentally switched the numbers on the laser. When the client's phone call was returned they mentioned that she flinched causing the burn.

Over the three years, I had minimal results on my lip and eyebrows and absolutely no results on my underarms. I was also burned five times and now have scars from it.

I went in for my last treatment and asked for a refund. I was told it would be sent to medical and I would hear back in one week. She also mentioned since she could see results it would probably go my way. Two weeks later, I called to find out what medical said. They forgot to send it. A month later, I called again. After leaving multiple messages I finally got someone live. She promised to call me back that day. Another two weeks, they offer me repurchasing the package for half-price for six more treatments. $3, 000 for nothing but scars. Go anywhere but American Laser Center of Dallas.

No service/ No refund
My Daughter signed up for one of the (SO CALLED CONTESTS) in a box at a nail salon. American Laser called her and told her she won a free service and $300.00, towards additional services. My daughter offered me the prize because Stephane Vasquez, whom was the manager at this time and the person I met with on August 26, 2008, said she could give me the prize. I met with Stephanie, whom by the way said our meeting would only take 20 minutes, it ended up taking almost 2 hours. In the meeeting she went over their products and services and baited and switched me into signing up for a service after all of her so called discounts would cost me $2000.00. After every attempt to find me financing, she talk me into making payments of $500. 00, each time I would get a procedure done, starting with the $500.00, she charged my account on August 26, 2008. I had no services done, the next morning less than 24 hrs later I called Stephanie back and said I needed to cancel my procedure and get my money back, because my husband infromed me he was going to lose his job and we could not afford this at this time. Stephanie told me no problem my refund would be credited back to my account in 3-5 business days. WELL IT IS NOW JANUARY 21, 2009, AND STILL NO REFUND OR RETURN PHONE CALLS. I left several hundred messages over these last several months and noone will address my issues . When I do get through to someone I keep getting told its pending. The time frame went from 3-5 business days, to 2 weeks, to 8 weeks and then 12 weeks. As you all can see my refund has still not arrived and I"m still getting the run around, I was even told by the new Manager Dolly whom is out of the Downers Grove Office and the Chicago Office at 845 N. Michagan Ave, Suite #963W, and their phone number is 312-275-0140, that she would personally handle my situation, and assured me my refund would be back in my account by December 16, 2008. Again, it is January 21, 2009, and still no refund or correspondance, just her trying to offer me free services for my inconviences, I still have a hard time reaching her and she also has never returned my calls, and she also told me that she would have their lawyers call me and still no return calls. I would like to list all the operators I spoke with but I would be here all day typing. As far as EVA BURKS!!!, goes I have left her several hundred messages and not one return phone call from her and she is supposely the CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER, some service, right? I filed a complaint with the BBB, recently because I finally got tired of the run around and leaving messages and no return calls and the ALLEGED PROMISED DATES FOR MY REFUND. BEWARE, OF THIS COMPANY, I never received any services from them and after this I wouldn't trust them to work on a corpse. DON''T BE CONNED LIKE ME BY THEM.

The ALC is full of demons who are controlled by a very evil and manipulative person named Dr. Neel Kanase. He will bend your will to have all your money ripped from your wallet and the machines will burn your skin horribly leaving you marred and disfigured for Life. I am going to sue I think. Run, Run, Run far away. If there is a class action lawsuit, I will join in with about 13 others. I feel sorry for anyone else who fell for this sham of a doctor and his greedy company. The agony I suffer every day when I look at my face and arms compels me to sue one day. Good luck everyone. Burned!!!

FRAUD! SCAM! Services do not work!
I wish I had researched ALC before I went there. If I had seen all of these complaints, along with other websites, including the BBB, I would have never went there!
I signed up for 8 VelaShape sessions for $2520.00. In the end, I was a half inch bigger than I was before I started. Of course, they don't guarantee anything, so you're just out the money, PERIOD. They don't even act like they care. It's all a scam, so once they get your money, it's all over with. It took me 2 months to get them to send me my records so that I could show my attorney. Of course, they didn't include everything. The Technicians made hand written notes with each visit. I had voiced my concerns each time, but I have no record of it. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Poor Company!
American Laser Centers is such a scam! I work at the Head Quarters in Farmington Hills, Mi. We bug the hell out of people calling them every other day, making them think that the $300 coupon they just received is something special! HA! We are at every show/expo we have raffle boxes in every tanning salon, hair salon, gym etc. Don't fall for the WIN Free Laser Hair Removal It's all a scam! Our services are Thousands of dollars and with this economy who they hell would spend that kind of money. You could buy a new car or give your kids something useful like a college fund! On top of the complaints we get from current customers. Customer Service SUCKS! You will be on hold for an hour and they are no longer giving refunds! The head honcho is back, Rich Morgan the founder for ALC. He is all about money not satisfaction! He would rob a blind man if he could!! DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT book a consultation with the call center. You are only setting yourself up for HELL!

LYING, DECEIVING COMPANY - STAY AWAY!
Everything I have read is completely true. This company is a complete scam that uses very deceptive ways to manipulate people, take their money, and never deliver what they promise.

I am in the process of trying to get my issue resolved. I finally received a call from their "corporate customer service" today after trying for quite some time throuth phone calls, emails, messages, etc. I was astounded by the way I was treated and by how rude and careless the woman I spoke with was. She did not solve my issue in any way whatsover, she actually just made me more upset with the company by the things she told me which confirmed how unproefessional this so called business really is. The things she told me were all lies and contradicted what the manager at my local branch told me. I am confused and disguisted at how they can run a company like this and get away with it.

I will be posting my full story soon once I wait to see the outcome of my conversation this morning. I am supposedly going to receive a call from a manager but if this actually happens I will be in complete shock.

Everyone stay away, far far away from this company! Once I find out the results and how they handle my "issue" form this point forward, I will post again. I am finding complaints listed under American Laser Center, American Laser Centers, ALC, etc. on several websites as well as an extermely high number of complaints to the BBB.
