PLEASE FILE WiTH THE BBB (link)
I wish so much that I had found this site BEFORE my visit to American Laser. PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB SO IT WILL GO ON RECORD>
http://welcome.bbb.org/
I was promised results that I would "just love" and signed up for a $2, 700 firming package. I didn't have much "damage" to improve, so I was assured that it would probably take even less than the package treatments and I could use the others for maintenance throughout the years. Right... No results, 3 managers later.. no hope of a refund.
Please file a complaint. Anyone knowing of a TX Class action law suit, let me know.

Vela Shape treatment is false
American Laser has an incredible bad reputation, when it comes to customer service and HONESTY. "VELA' DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE, YOU WILL BE EXTREMLY DISAPPOINTED AND WITH $2000 LESS.
On Sept. 2008 I signed up for a "Vela" treatment, they promise 9 sessions each for an hour, also the manager Hillary made it seem like it was as good as a liposuction that I only needed 9 sessions and I would get ridd of my belly fat.
The staff in the office where giving me a half hour sessions, instead of the hour, then when i complaint they gave me 45 min. It was like I had to constantly remind them that the treatment was for one hour.
I paid $2000 and Im still with my BELLY FAT, I have being working-out and dieting, the results are EXTREMLY POOR.

Billing Problems/No Help
I "won" an American Laser package at a bridal expo. I decided to take advantage of it even though I would have to open a Care Credit account to pay for the remaining amount. At the time I purchased the package, I was pregnant and not able to take advantage of the package. Before I had the baby, we moved out of state and do not live near an American Laser. I have contacted AL over 20 times to have this refunded. You either have to leave them a voice mail (which they never return) or when the rep is speaking with you, you suddenly get cut off. I want the amount refunded to me because I am not using the package. This has been going on since April, almost 4 months and I have been "assured" more than once that I would be refunded ASAP. Unless you plan on paying straight up, don't go to American Laser!

Contents of billboard sign is offensive
To whom it may concern,
There is a large billboard sign promoting the American Laser company for the removal of unwanted hair along Route 9 west, just west of Martinsburg, West Virginia.
It shows a picture of a young woman with a great figure in a bikini. Her head is cropped off intentionally in the picture. I realize the cropping is done to protect her identification.
This is offensive because women have enough trouble trying to hold up their image as a person as it is, and this picture shows her to be nothing more than a sex object. Because of the cropping of the picture, her face can't be seen, but her bikini does little to conceal her chest and the gential area, even though the bikimi covers it up.
There are too many males who value a woman by their chest and her gentialia. This picture promotes the wrong image.
I would appreciate it if you could change the picture in the future, if not this billboard as well.
Thank you, Steve Fehlauer

refund
I had wanted to tighten the skin on my underarms and also to smooth the skin around my upper thighs. I was told by the manager, that their new laser machine could accomplish this. After six treatments, the technician, a registered nurse, said that my skin was too thin and that she reccommended that I do not continue the treatments because I would not see any results. She said that the laser machine was never intended to do what I had paid for. I asked the corporate office to refund my $2200.00 which I had paid for 20 treatments. I have never been contacted by any member of the American Laser Company. After reading dozens of complaints against American Laser, I would like to join in on any Class-Action Suit. This company is a total rip-off.

Misleading/Fraud
Purchased the Cellulite treatment (Velashape/smooth) paid over $2700 was guaranteed that my legs would be smooth and supple, Tiffany the manager showed before and after photos of finished results stated that the service was guaranteed and if I was not satisfied they would continue with the service until the desired results were achieved. I was VERY emphatic about wanting my legs to be smooth and dimple free. "Absolutely" she stated and again guaranteed the treatment. To make a long story short paid for the service, half way through I saw NO results; it was discovered they were reducing my thighs rather than smoothing, so they FINALLY switched the head of the machine which supposedly smooths the surface. Still during this whole process I am seeing NO results! I started FEB of 08 and it is May 1 08, my before pictures are just as cruddy as when I walked in! NO difference!---to make matters worse they came in and said they were stopping the treatments! Anyway, I am not going to argue I'm going to serve paper and we can sort things out in court! I have ALL of there brochures and materials! My question is does anyone have a email address for corporate so I can serve them? Anything is helpful.

No refunds even if it is a medical condition
I went it to American Laser for a free consult from a bridal show. The manager strong armed me into signing despite the fact that I had an acne condition and I was seeing the dermatologist the following week. She gave me $1500 off and said if the doctor said I couldn't have the treatments, she would refund me. They signed me up for Care Credit so they were paid in full. I went to the doctor and they advised I could not receive the treatments due to medications I'd be on long term. Went back to American Laser and the manager was gone. Current manager advised to get a doctor's note. I did and they are still refusing to refund me. Medical condition and all. The regional manager is not returning my calls.
