Harrassment, Threats of Job Loss, Threats to my income, Abusive Language
This company American Law Division of California called me today December 6, 2010 at my place of work and threaten me that if I did not pay them over $1200 that they would send a lawsuit to my job, and I was going to jail and would lose my job if I did not pay them. The caller had a heavy accent and identified himself as Mr. Mike Jones, then he stated his name was Mr. Mike Johnson. When I asked what was this in regards to he said a payday loan company. He had my bank account information, and email and I do not know how he obtained this information, I can only assume it was sold via another company. When I told him that I had never been contact by this loan company he said I must have deleted the emails that was sent. I told him I would not do that and would have responded to an urgent matter as such. He said that I committed fraud and that people like me would go to jail. I told him do not name call that is childish and told him again to send me any information and instructed him to contact my attorney. He told he would not. Finally, I decided to call him back and inquired about his business license and if his company was legit and asked for the address of his business and all pertinent information. He said I would have to pay for this information and he could not just give it out and said that who am I to check out his company and began calling me names again. I told him that I was going to report him to the police if he did not stop calling me and stated that I looked him up on the Internet and their are many complaints against his company in regards to fraud and instructed him to never call me again.
