Recieved a call from Kevin Thompson, however, spoke broken English with a thick Indian accent. Stated that I owed money from an unpaid payday loan from American Cash Advance and that if I didnt pay today, he would call my employer and start the process of having me sued and arrested. When I asked for information in writing as I do not believe I owe this debt (as I have never taken out a payday loan), he refused to send me anything. He said that after I paid I would receive something from the company stating that my debt was clear. I almost believed him because he had my whole social security number as well as other personal information about me. He gave me a fax # of 714-844-9190 and told me to fax my debit card info and a copy of my drivers license or I would be sorry. I refused to do this without information in writing first and he said that I need to take care of my problems or I would be sorry. I decided to do some research and I am glad that I did. Apparently this scam has been going around for awhile. I have filed complaints with every entity I can think of as well as had my social flagged with the credit breaus. The phone is still constantly ringing off the hook. I just hope that these people dont start to harass my family or call my place of work again.

My name is Bethany and I am Married to a 100% Disabled Gulf War Vet and I was awoken this morning at 8:30 am to this man named James Smith had an Indian accent, said he was calling about a pay day lone in the amount of $846.76. In the 7 years my husband and I have been together we have never once received a payday loan. So this "man" began to tell me how he was going to read all of the legal documents and then he would allow me to ask questions (WHAT??!!!) Ok I went with it then I asked him as I was looking At my bank account the exact date that the money was deposited into my account (which I DID NOT give him any of that information. NEVER give your account info over the phone!!) He said he didn't have that information, and then I asked what the phone number of the company was so I could call them and get this taken care of. Again no answer and now with an attitude. Ok just go with it, then he threatened to touch my husbands’ checks and that’s when I knew this was a SCAM! I asked him if he was even a lawyer in the US and then asked him if he was why he didn't know any information about this company if he was their lawyer. Then he continued with his threats and I said "This conversation is over and I will be taking any action I against you and they should be ashamed for trying to SCAM anyone much less someone who fought on the front lines for this country for over 20 years!! Then I hung up and got online to check this all out and found this page. I called all of the local news papers, Westminster & Seneca Journal, I also contacted News channel 4 I told them our entire story and told them that it would be a public service if they put this out into our community!! After I figured there was nothing else I could do about this I was board and mad enough to spit fire!! So I took 45 minutes out of my day to give these people a taste of their own medicine!!! I called them for 45 mins straight and ever time they would hang up I would call back with the same question... If you live in this country why are trying to scam this MAN who served his country for 20years so we could be free!!! Finley after 36 calls the female ANN said what is your problem I’m just trying to do my job and I said "YOU ARE NOT DOING A JOB YOU ARE SCAMING INNOCENT PEOPLE!! BUT TODAY LADY YOU PICKED THE WRONG ONE, I HAVE ALL OF THE NUMBERS LISTED BY THE OTHER PEOPLE AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN I WILL BE BOARD AND MAD ABOUT THIS AGINE!! Talk TO YOU SOON!!! " Strike one for the good guys and I suggest you guys do the same I bet they wont ever call you again and it feels really good to make these jerks who have probly made allot of money from other people they threaten with their jobs, benefits and such. Just because you can rip someone off doesn’t make it right, so people please ban with me and lets shut these a-holes down!!!

I keep getting calls so far about 15 of them, from a john oconner and a ray somebody saying they are from american legal services, stating the is a legal file against me and if i do not call them back and will preceed in getting me arrest. they won"t say what company i am supposed to owe. they say my attorney can contact them. but when i had him call, they hung up on him. so i research online. that this is a scam. is there any way to have them stop calling?

phone calls made to my place of employment with threats to me about my credit owing money for pay day loans I didn't borrow and when I talk to them threats of being sued

Got a call from Calvin Colling from American Legal Services stating I owed them $800 from a loan from Cash Advance USA, I call the loan company and they said I do not owe them any money. What is scarry is that this company has my social security number full address and all of my information and I did not give it to them. They have been harrasing me since October 2010. I am going to report them to the police department today.
