My name is Bethany and I am Married to a 100% Disabled Gulf War Vet and I was awoken this morining at 8:30 am to this man named James Smith had an Indian accent, said he was calling about a pay day lone in the amount of $846.76. In the 7 years my husband and I have been together we have never once received a payday loan. So this "man" began to tell me how he was going to read all of the legal documents and then he would allow me to ask questons(WHAT??!!!) Ok I went with it then I asked him as I was looking At my bank account the exact date that the money was deposited into my account (which I DID NOT give him any of that informaton. NEVER give your account info over the phone!!) He said he didn't have that information, then I asked what the phone number of the company was so I could call them and get this aken care of. Againe no answer and now with an attitude. Ok just go with it, then he threatened to touch my husbands checks and thats when I knew this was a SCAM! I asked him if he was even a lawyer in the US and then Asked him if he was why he didn't know any information about this company if he was their lawyer. Then he continued with his threats and i said "This conversation is over and I will be taking any action I agonst you and they should be ashamed for trying to SCAM anyone much less someone who faught on the front lines for this country for over 20 years!! Then I hung up and got online to check this all out and found this page. I called all of the local news papers, Westminster & Seneca Journal, I also contacted News channel 4 I told them all our story and told them that it wold be a public service if they put this out into our comunity!! After I figured there was nothing else I could do about this I was board and mad enough to spit fire!! So I took 45 minutes out of my day to give these people a taste of their own medicine!!! I called them for 45 mins straight and ever time they would hange up I would call back with the same question... If you live in this country why are trying to scam this MAN who served his country for 20years so we could be free!!! Finly after 36 calls the female ANN said what is your problem Im just trying to do my job and i said "YOU ARE NOT DOING A JOB YOU ARE SCAMING INNOCENT PEOPLE!! BUT TODAY LADY YOU PICKED THE WRONG ONE, I HAVE ALL OF THE NUMBERS LISTED BY THE OTHER PEOPLE AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN I WILL BE BOARD AND MAD ABOUT THIS AGINE!! tALK TO YOU SOON!!! " Strike one for the good guys and I sugest you guys do the same I bet they wont ever call you againe and it feels realy good to make these jerks who have probly made alot of money from other people they threaten with their jobs, benifiits and such.

I guy called and said he was james thomas and that if I didnt call them back I would be arrested this has been going on for a long time I have no pay day loans and this gentleman calls from all different numbers but it is the same voice all the time he calls my cell phone and he calls me at work cant these guys be stopped this is very upsetting

I have been receiving daily phone calls from a man with a heavy indian or arab accent... he calls himself Mark Williams.

He called from 360-215-2913.

It was extremely alarming to receive these calls... the man knoew my name, social security number, where I banked, lived, and said he knew the Ip address of my PC...

He told me that my student loan was delinquent ( which I had jsut paid the bill that day) and that if I didn't pay him 4, 500 dollars I would be arested by the FBI for loan fraud. I contacted my student loan company promptly and was assured that my account was current and that they had not sicked their dog on me... But I still would love to know how this man got my information...

When I called the number back (360-215-2913) I tlked to one man who sounded like Mr. Williams, only to be "transferred to Mr. Williams, who tried to rehash the whole song and dance again...

On my second to last converstaion with Mr. Williams, I told him that I would need to see some proof of what he was referring to... he sent me a .tif file of what seems to be a cut and paste version of a legal document from the state of Colorado.. The letter, however, did not mention the name of the loan holder or the actual amount... For all of his research, Mr. Williams accepted the false number that I gave him when he asked how much the loan was for... That is another reason I believed the calls were fake...

I told him repeatedly that I did not want to be contacted again, and that his contacts were verging on harrassment... I finally told him that my fiance is a lawyer and that I spent a year in law school myself... I told him that I knew my rights and what harrasment was... i threatened to report him if he didn't quit with the phone calls...

My Mother-in-law received a call from someone calling himself Dexter Taylor from American Legal Services. Telling her that I had commited fraud, and could she have me call. She said he had a really heavy accent and that she couldn't hear him because of all the noise in the background.

I called back the number he called from and was transferred to Gabriel Canoy. Who proceeded to tell me that I had committed fraud by not paying back a loan that I had with Cash Advance USA. I have never had a loan with this company. Once he said he had spoken to his client and they agreed to a one lump sum payment TODAY would clear this up. All I had to do was fax an Apology letter to Mark Brown with Cash Advance USA and send my DEBIT card info in this fax, after I had supplied it to him on the phone. They would email me documents to sign and return to them with a copy of my Drivers License. and how much time did I need to take care of this? I told him an hour so that I could have my attorney review those documents. He got really upset and told me may god save your soul then hung up. He then proceeded to call my WORK phone and ask for my supervisor when I refused he called the operator and had me paged. He demanded to speak to my supervisor. At that time I told him my supervisor was not available and to stop harrassing me at work. He then started yelling profanities telling me he was going to get me fu**ing fired, and to have my f-ing attorney call him at his f-ing number and that I was a f-ing B**** and that he was pissed because I wasted his f-ing hour.
And Hung up.
Called the police...nothing they can do, called and reported it to the credit reporting agencies to put a fraud watch on my files..was told ftc.gov and another website to file a complaint.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SOMEONE WITH A STRONG MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT WHO'S NAME WAS SUPPOSABLY KEVIN THOMPSON, I DIDN'T GIVE HIM MY NAME BUT HE SAID THAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH MY NAME AND THAT IT WAS VERY URGENT IT WAS A LEGAL MATTER AND THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE "ME" CALL HIM BACK RIGHT AWAY TO PAY OFF SOME LOAN? FIRST OF ALL I THE NUMBER THEY GAVE WAS A 909 580-9997 NUMBER WHICH IS A LOCAL CALIFORNIA NUMBER AND COLLECTION AGENCIES USUALLY HAVE 11-800 NUMBERS, SECOND WHEN I CALLED BACK "KEVIN THOPMSON' S" NAME WAS NOW ALEX, LITTLE DID HE KNOW THAT I HAD LOOKED UP THE NUMBER AND I TOLD HIM HE WAS LOCATED NEARBY WHEN I TOLD HIM THIS HE DIDII NOT WANT TO CONFRIM THESE GUYS ARE IDIOTS DON'T BELEIVE THEM IF YOU HAVE EVER APPLIED FOR A LOAN ONLINE THEY MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN A HOLD OF YOUR INFO AND THEY FIGURE PEOPLE ARE AS STUPID AND UNCIVILIZED AS THEY ARE TO BELEVIE THAT YOU SHOULD GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, COME ON YOUR IN AMERICA NOW LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH BEFORE YOU TRY TO PULL A SCAM LIKE THIS.
