King size mattress
I bought, in Feb. 2008, a brand new king size bed and mattress. My husband and I were very excited. A few months later the side rail on the bed broke and needed to be replaced. I called and talked to service. At the time, I was told that it was a manufacture's defect and it was replaced. We're now in June of 2009 and I have a big dip in the mattress where you actually can feel the springs. The dip is the shape of my husband because it is his side of the bed. I called American Signature, explained the situation and a service man came out to look and take pictures. That was June 15th. I was never given a call back about the mattress. I stopped by today, July 25th, and was told that because there is a stain on the mattress, it is not under warranty. I was completely embarassed and very angry. What does a stain have to do with a huge defect in the mattress. I refuse to buy another mattress. We spent about $800 on the mattress and box spring alone.
Now, my husband will have uncomfortable nights of sleep, and not to mention back pain. We don't want to send it back because of stains. We want to replace it because of the broken springs. What does the stain have to do with the 25 year guarantee of the springs?

poor service/lies
On May 25th 2009 my boyfriend and I picked out four items in the store to purchase. Our sales person Tom was very helpful and friendly, however he could not enter in the items and needed assitance from his manager Bobby. Which we were to pick up on the following day. My one concern was the leaning shelf unit needs to come in a box as it was to big to fit in my car. The manager assured me that it did! However when I arrived the next day for pick up, I was made aware that all off my merchandise was coming from the floor...As a surprise to me the only item that I was to get from the showroom floor was the mirror being it was the only one they had, unless I wanted to wait a month.. I did not so I agreed to take the one off the floor. I did not agree to take everything off the showroom floor. Aggravated as to why I drove all the way here to pick up somthing that wont even fit in my car. I didnt want any of it. Once the manager insited that they will deliver the item later with no charge, I agreed and headed back to the warehouse. While walking I met with the warehouse manager whose name I dont know and he asked me what was I going to do? I replyed that I was to get the other three items and the one item will be delivered later, and headed to my car. After waiting almost 30 minutes I went back in to see waht the hold up was. And to my surprise again nothing had been done to get together my merchandise. Infuriated I headed straight to the manger who which was accompanied by the warehouse mgr. And I asked in my most stern voice what the problem was? He looked at me and said that since were going to deliver the one item we will bring it all at once. What!! what was I waiting for in the first place. And when was I going to be notified. I shop with American Signature all the time and never experienced anything like that never in my life. Poor customer service in both departments and not even an apology. Needless to say I requested my refund and they dont ever have to worry about me again. They lost $674.06 and one loyal customer.

Horrible Delivery Service
I have never in my life experienced such poor service. I ordered a living room and dining set on March 14th for delivery on April 7th. When April 7th rolled around, I received everything except the recliner and sideboard. Delivery for these 2 items was then scheduled for 2 weeks later on April 21st. Since I received most of my furniture, I didn't think too much about this and went back and ordered a bedroom set on April 9th for delivery on April 21st along with the other 2 remaining items. BIG MISTAKE! On April 21st, the only items that were to be delivered were a pair of nightstands, a box spring, and the bed. No sign of the other 2 dressers, recliner, or sideboard. In addition, the head and footboard of the bed that were delivered didn't match so the delivery guys took them back. The third delivery was scheduled for 9 days later on April 30th. I just learned today, the 29th, that everything will finally be delivered tomorrow except for the dresser which will be in on June 2nd. June 2nd! Are you kidding me?!? I have to wait another month for a dresser! At this point, I ordered the recliner and sideboard 6 and a half weeks ago. The bedroom furniture was ordered 3 weeks ago. How long does it really take to get furniture?!? This is insane! Did I mention I've been sleeping on the floor for the last 3 weeks.
The only good thing about this nightmare has been the delivery guys. They've been awesome. I had the same guys for the first 2 deliveries. They were the ones who noticed the mismatched bed.
DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE!! Yes, it's cheap but you may never ever receive it.

Horrible Service and Product
STAY AWAY FROM American Signature Furniture! Paying high price does not mean high quality at American Signature Furniture. Once we had our leather couch for two years, now out of their 1 year warranty, the couch is showing defective leather. Our leather repairman, pointed out that there is cheap leather pieces that are put together and said if he repaired the current tears, he would have to return over and over. That was 6 months ago and sure enough 3 more tears appeared in random spots. A leather couch that is taken good care of should last longer than 2 years. When I called the store they kept telling me that since I did not purchase the extended warranty, they cannot do anything, not even a discount on a new couch. They even mention that since I used an outside leather repair person that it voided the warranty. They do not know what they are talking about! All they do is read off a sheet and cannot, will not help you. I believe in investing in quality products that people truly stand behind. So STAY AWAY FROM American Signature Furniture!

Poor quality and workmanship
I purchased what I thought was a quality leather sectional for $2700 in the Lithonia, Georgia store and after a little over 2 years (one month to be exact) ripples developed on the ottoman seat and in the center of the sofa's seat. Assuming this store stuck behind the quality of their furniture and the reputation of their name I called to report the defect and was later visited by a technician to inspect. The technician forwarded the information to an Operations Manager who called to report the news that the technician reported a deficiency in the furniture and that this model was discontinued. At this time I wasn't offered comparable merchandise just a credit of $540, and a write off from the store treating my furniture as an as is product. It wasn't until I challenged the fine print on the receipt that this was ever an option. I looked online and even visited the store and found nothing to my satisfaction and was reluctant to purchase further because of all this. As insulted as I am and disappointed in the merchandise that I have I am out of more than $2700, ($2200 if I take the $54offered) a $300 professional paint job (for this room and the adjoining ) to match the furniture's decor and within the year will have to replace this same furniture because of its poor workmanship. To add insult to injury I purchased over $4000 from this store at one visit and have a few other complaints that were supposedly not covered under AS warranty for any of it. In conclusion I don't recommend purchase from this store to anyone I know. The hassle and the attitude you get after you pay and receive your furniture is out of this world. The store representation acts if their jobs are irreplaceable or that they have ownership in protecting the store. Do they not understand that the economy is so jacked up and that people are losing their jobs not to mention their homes and are not spending money on non essentials like furniture and that they are in jeopardy of stores (especially) with bad reputations for their products folding or Am I the only person that watches the news?.

Scamming you to Buy, Delivery Dates a LIE
We moved into our apartment February 13, 2009. We had our beautiful new sofa set (sofa & chair 1/2) and our new dining room table picked out by the first week of March. After much shopping we found it at American Signature, and since a family member was purchasing it for us as a housewarming gift (he's over 80 years old) they required he be present. Which was fine. So we visited alone and had the salesman Marcello create an invoice for our sofa set & dining table, which he said in total would be $1700 (including a mandatory stain treatment) and that the delivery is "almost always done within a week, especially if it's in stock at the store, it should be a few days". So we then loaded my husbands grandfather into our Jeep, visited the store again to make the final purchase. It took them 20 minutes to find our records in the computer, at which point he asked us to walk back to each item just to 'make sure he knew which ones we were talking about' (walk--with an elderly man on a cane -- through a huge store), and then preceded to tell us he was going to have to check and see if they were in the storeroom...So we sat his grandfather down and followed the man back to the customer service center in the back, where we waited nearly 45 minutes for him to find an open phone line (which were all being used by other customer service reps who were "dealing with other customers", although in my experience it is ALWAYS best to help the customers in person rather than over the phone)---and although we told him we didnt understand what he was checking, he evaded us for another 20 minutes. Finally he told us that the sofa could be ready mid march but the dining set would not be until April 4th, and would we like to choose another one? SO we looked around and picked another one...waited for him to check AGAIN, only to find out that it was the glass top that was on back order, and ALL of the glass tables in their store had the same piece of glass on back order...So we were very very very set on just getting the sofa set, and finding a table elsewhere, when Marcello told us that he made another call and if we called the week before our delivery of the sofa they would most likely be able to arrange the table to come the same day as to save their delivery drivers a trip. So we agreed, and not wanting to get his grandfather out again for another trip to another store for another table---we purchased all of the items with the sofa being delivered March 20 (not really mid march eh?) and the table to be delivered April 8th (written on the receipt).
So, today is March 20th. The delivery was supposed to arrive between 9:30-12:30 this morning. They showed up at 8:15am pounding on our door (we were still asleep as was our toddler), and when we answered it was a very rude, very disgruntled delivery driver practically yelling at my husband that the sofa would not fit in our elevators. Granted, this is something we should have thought out -- and we were very dissappointed, but we wanted to call down to the lobby of our condo to see if there was a freight elevator elsewhere or any other options. The delivery driver was incredibly impatient and rude and tapping his foot and pacing until my husband finally went downstairs to the lobby to ask with the man. Long story short, the sofa did not fit. Which is fine, we will find a smaller sofa and take the measurements carefully. But the problem lies herein. The delivery driver suggested we find another sofa and have it delivered on April 29th along with our table ----- APRIL 29th?? We have waited a month with no furniture in our apartment and now he's saying its another month?? We called the store several times, were placed on hold every time, finally resulting in the answer that they have no idea why our receipt would say April 8th delivery and that theres nothing they can do about it. We can have the table delivered the 29th and come into the store again to find another sofa but they need his grandfather present to reauthorize the exchange of credit. The end result is we told them to please refund the entire charge and forget us ever coming to their store again. But its incredibly disappointing, seeing as we have now lived a month and a half without furniture, waiting eagerly for our set we had already picked out and purchased -- and now we are back at square one -- shopping again and going through the entire ordeal (which is also embarrassing as it is a gift from his grandfather, to have to ask him to buy something again after the refund clears on his credit card in 10 days).
Overall it was horrible customer service, and the guy obviously worked on commission as he seemed to say ANYthing to make the sale, even barefaced lie about our delivery date and the availibility of the furniture.

Poor quality/Poor service
Do not buy anything from American Signature Furniture stores. They do not care about their customers. Do not believe anything they tell you because it is all lies. They make you pay for service policies that they will not honor. We purchased black leather theater seating in N ovember 2007. We also brought a leather protection policy at the time of purchase. We were told that the protection policy would take care of all rips, tears etc as long as it was not intentional. When it was first delivered one of the chairs had a grinding sound. We were told that was normal because it was new and it would work itself out. Well it never did and they did replace that piece. Now the chair is rubbing the leather off in the back. We went to the store in Brandon, Florida where it purchased. They said they would send out a technician. I got a voice mail that the tech reported it was normal wear and tear (which it was not because it is on the back of the chair where no one or anything touches it.) Now they are telling us that they have discontinued the furniture. We called back and no one ever called us back for about a month. So we had to return to the store to voice our concern. We were told that they would call us back on Tuesday which they did not. I called back on Wednesday and was put on hold for over twenty minutes. I called again and customer service never picked up the telephone. We are still waiting.

HORRIBLE QUALITY
My boyfriend and I purchased a couch at the American Signature Furniture on Rt 40 in Bear DE about a month or so ago. We had great service at the store from our sales rep Scott. However the problems started when we got the couch home. After getting the couch into our newley finshed basement we got the couches out of the box put them together (it is a sectional) and realized they had given us two different color couches. I couldn't believe it but we figured hey it was an honest mistake. So we took the couch back to the store and they exchanged it for us. So since we figured it was an honest mistake we decided to purchase a TV stand there as well. We actually got $50 off for the problem with the couches. Well we finally picked out the one we wanted and they said they wouldn't have it for a MONTH... okay I can deal with that. It was supposed to come in on March 4th... no one called us... so we called them on the 5th. They gave us no explanation to as why we were not contacted. Anyway we went and picked up the new TV Stand and got it out of the box... I immediatly saw scratches and dings all over. It looked like it had been through 5 years of use. So then we realized that the doors do not shut... I can't even belive this is happening. I am planning on going in today to tell them how horrible they are. Two times when we get home and have to make a return of the furniture we have purchased from your store. Unaccapteable.

DISCOUNTED FURNITURE
In July 2008, I walked into American Signture Furniture in Atlanta, Ga (Lenox), the salesman helped me pick out what I wanted. Although, there wasn't much I found that peaked my attention this living room suite caught my eye. I was very fond of American Signture's furniture.
While visiting in Louisville, KY I was able to purchase the furniture (there is a reason I had to purchase in KY), the furniture was delivered from Buford, Ga. 7-28-08. The first month I notice a pen sticking out of the the love seat which scratch when you sat down. Within 2-4 months the sofa pillows on the sofa and chair started to deteriorate, there was a board pushing in and out on the sofa and a popping sound when you sat down by the armrest side. On the chair at the top of the armrest the cushion made an indention. This clearing was turning into bad furniture I purchased. When asked in the KY store if this was "ALL" Am Sign. furniture he replied yes!
I purchased a warranty and fab protection and finally notified the co. They (Am. Sig.) informed me my furniture is not discontinued although my mother in KY said the furniture is still at Value City currently. They were willing to give me credit to purchase another set or anything in the store. This is when the salesman and the ladies in the back customer service told me about the tags. I should have been told the furniture was not from Am. Sig but another manufacturing company by the tag. (OH) The black & white tag reads Am. Signature and only the red & white is the discounted furniture but it does not say who from only "This price is guaranteed".
As upset as I was when walking around the store informing them I was not purchasing from the red & white tags, I noticed the difference. Am. Sig. furniture was more expensive. Even the salesman told me I knew their secret. (Tags) He even agreed that they don't tell their customers with the red & white tag it's from another manufacturer other than AM. Sign. Had I known the difference I would have had the option at the time to purchase the AM. Sign. furniture or the discounted but I was not looking for discounted furniture only American Signature. I could have went somewhere else.
The problem is I really didn't see what I wanted but was going to purchase less furniture (I had a 3 pc living room suite) and still be over my limit or the 3 pc and still be over by ($750) which they should have chucked up. They wanted me to pay the overhead even now when I talked to corporate. Lucky for them I still need to purchase my matching dinette tables like my coffee tables. Which I saw was a red & white tag! I only had one minor problem with those.
Mind you, this is the only way I will get my refund back is if I come in and purchase the dinette they will give me the remainder. He would not agree with refunding my money because I had the furniture for 6mths. I could change my mind about the purchasing the dinette set. This really infuriates me, that they sold defective furniture and won't allow me to have my money back. Who cares if they can't re sale it. This is not normal wear and tear in 2-6 months. The repair guy said my furniture was made out of cardboard, and basically he said all the furniture was. That's what the board and popping sound really could have been. Now the sound and board is gone but the plushness is gone.
