I am generally very easy to be pleased with customer service but this company totally ripped me off. When they gave me the initial quote, they promised all good things and took the tentative number of items to be packed and shipped. In their paperwork, they made an assumption of only 1/3 items to be packed, however, I told them that everything needs to be packed.
They gave me an estimate and totally lied that the price my not vary much and it will be only based on weight.

When the carrier guys came in, they were very unprofessional and dumped everything is boxes and handled them badly. They were the middlemen carrier company that is paid by American Vanlines and they inflated the number of boxes for more money.
Their customer service was so poor that they could never figured out what the issue is and holded us back and got all our money.

When we disputed they completely ignored and said they are following up with the carrier. I have never had such a terrible service in my life and will never recommend them for any kind of move.

I had to move from Redmond, WA to Fort Collins, CO. I received several quote and selected American Vanlines. They outsourced my move to a local mover and on phone they told me will deliver within 7 days and written delivery Window as 04/22/09 to 05/06/2009.
Finally they delivered items on May 6th and lot of items were missing and many of them were costly electronics items including my DVD player. When I contacted American Vanlines they said they are not responsible for anything and you contact the mover.
They sent me a claim form which has terms & condition like" American Vanlines not responsible for anything". I keep calling mover and he used to say call American Vanlines and American Vanlines says call the actual mover. I lost my stuff and nothing happened.
