Stay away
This company is involved in fraud and needs to be turned to NY's DA's office. They take orders on line and do not send ordered item, since they cannot secure it in a timely fashion. But, if you try to cancel a order that has not been fulfilled, AmericanHomePlus keeps 40% re-stocking fee. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Worst internet site ever
I found a good price for a faucet for a remodeling project at americanhomeplus, ordered it, never received a confirmation email so figured it didn't go thru, my contractor installed a faucet he bought at local plumbing supply store. A MONTH later I received a email from americanhomeplus that the faucet is being shipped, I email them that I will need to return item but am leaving the country for 2 weeks and will have to return it later. When I return to the states they email me that it's too late to return "must return in 5 days"!! And to think it took a month to get the item! Unbelievable! Never again will order without reading lots of customer reviews!

Terribly long wait for delivery
I ordered a medicine cabinet for my bathroom on 11/18.
They stated a 4-6 week lead time for delivery at the time of order.
Each time I checked their website for an update, it said the order was being prepared for shipment, which I thought would be normal until they shipped on the 4th, 5th, or 6th week.
After the 6th week of waiting, I called the customer support line. My service rep was nice enough and seemed like he wanted to help me out.
He told me there was a 'glitch' in the system and that my order was not placed with the manufacturer, Robern.
I was horrified, as I am preparing my home for sale and need this item.
He told me that he would expedite the order in the system and ship as soon as possible.
Each time I called back to check the status of my order (every few days) I got a different person, and each told me a slightly different story.
I finally received my order 12 weeks after initially placing it with American Home Plus.
By that time, I had to purchase another cabinet locally so that I could show my home. I accepted an offer on my home before I ever received shipment on my order.
American Home Plus would not accept cancellation, and would not take a return.
I now have a brand new medicine cabinet that I will not use.
Anyone want a brand new medicine cabinet? I will ship 1000 times faster than American Home Plus.
All-in-all, this was one of the worst internet shopping experiences - ever.
If you choose to purchase something from American Home Plus, be prepared... they have low prices for a reason.

Buyer beware
We purchased a light fixture in July 2010 which arrived in the wrong finish. We were given an RGA# and returned the fixture. Eight months later, after numerouse emails, phone calls and talking with the owner who promised we would be mailed a check by Feb. 11th, 2011, we have still not seen a dime of our money. I've had it! We will now be contacting the BBB. And a 40% restocking fee if you return an item? You've got to be kidding!

Where's my grab bar
Ordered & paid for 2 grab bars on Sept. 16, 2010. Received 1 grab bar on Dec 21, 2010. Have been desperately trying to get the other one since then; tried e-mails, phone calls, contacting manufacturer, nothing works. Please help!

Defective merchandise
BEWARE OF THIS SITE! I bought an item from them and their return policy makes it impossible to implement if you have a problem. Now I'm stuck with an expensive defective product. Fortunately, I bought it using American Express and I am going to try to use their protection policy.

Stay away from this company
I ordered some cabinet pulls from this company. The merchandise arrived at my house 5 weeks after I ordered. When it arrived one of the 6 pulls was broken and the others didn't quite fit.
When I decided to return them I was told there was a 40% restocking fee. And to get a refund for the broken item I had to fill out paperwork, take a picture, wait for someone to call me, etc.
Stay away from this company!!
