After not having made an international call over six months, I was told that my prepaid account was automatically closed. Americatel's website does not state that if you do not use their service withinsix months they automatically close your account and any balance remaining is lost. Their website states that there is no expiration date and if you want to cancel your account then you must call them. I was lied to by their representative who explained that my balance was credited back to my account and who gave me a false reference number for said credit transaction. Of course my balance was never credited to my account. I am filing a complaint with BBB and Consumer Affairs.
