My name is Nathan also Caleb...This has been a headache in the past 5 years playing as my friend Caleb. My 2003 Honda Civic SI was repo'd on Feb13, 2o11 a day before Valentines Day at 9am in the morning. I heard my car alarm going off and these guys in a truck was talking my car. They explained to me that they were here to repo the car and I was 3 payments behind. I called the bank to negotiate a price to get my car back and at first the total was $2146. 3 payments and a monthly payment of $380= $1140. Ok $1140 really isn't a lot of money so once I came up with the $1140 thinking i can get the car back, they said they wanted the total for the late payments which was $400 and $200 for the repo's fee's and $200 for the storage and some other fee's included. I called back the next day and they told me that they moved the vehicle to Anaheim without notifying me and at this point its been more than 10 days since the car was repo'd and never received the total amount to get the car back. The new balance is $2297 to get the car back...This is a scam i never asked them or told them to move the vehicle to Anaheim which is 40 miles south of Santa Monica. The lady over the phone tells me they never told you? i told them no. You guys aren't doing your job. Right now i have 1700 dollars cash and it wasn't easy coming up with this type of money in 3 days because I worked hard. They say they will work with you but its a bunch of LECHE! Google Leche is Tagalog and it doesn't mean milk only in Spanish...They call my cell phone flooding my messages everyday calling me 7-8 times a day. Americredit is lazy and they don't do their job...You have the right to cure your account before they repo your car...They used to send me those letters all the time and every time i received those letter to cure my account before they repo'd my car, I would cure my account. Now they don't even send me the letter so instead they repo'd my car. My understanding is that you have the right to cure your account and must respond to the letter and if you don't respond they will repo your car. The repo agency lied saying they won't tell you...hahahaha what a bunch of liars of course they won't tell you the day they will repo the car but they will send you a letter to cure your account or else they will repo your car. THIS IS THE WORST BANK EVER! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS BANK. I HOPE THEY GET A CLASS ACT OR SUED!
