I got a call with an offer of a credit card. 2000 limit. Went through the process, was approved but turns out, after taking 200.00 out of my bank account, that this was just a shopping card to buy from their, might I say, cheap and tacky web site. Plus they require 35% down which allows them back into your bank account. I am trying to get my money back and want to warn everyone not to fall for this. Talk about kicking us when we are down... this is fraud.

I got a call today, when I answered I was hung up on. I have caller ID so I called back. They immediately knew my name and said they were calling to help me rebuild my credit. There were no fees for this program is exactly what the automated system said. He started verifying my info like birthdate and phone number. Something wasn't right, he than needed to verify my checking account he said this was to check credit reference opposed to running a credit check, I told him no I don't think so, and he hung up.

Well curiosity got the best of me and I called back, I asked the guy, who sounded like the same guy what kind of card was this. he said "you need to rebuild your credit what does it matter." I replied because i would like to know what i am getting into. he again told me i have bad credit and it shouldn't matter and hung up on me. I called back again and asked for a supervisor, the man who answered gave me a customer service number and low and behold they never answer, you will hear hold music until a busy signal comes.

I am lucky but to those of you who weren't i really feel for you. just pass the word about scammers like these...

I WAS DECIEVED BY THIS COMPANY!!!! I ASKED THE MAN THAT I TALKED TO IF THIS CARD WAS FOR A CATALOG AND TOLD HIM THAT IF IT WAS I DID NOT WANT IT! HE THEN TOLD ME THAT IT CAN BE USED FOR CATALOGS IF I WANTED IT TO BE AND I SAID NO! I ALSO ASKED HIM IF IT HAD ANY RESTRICTIONS ON IT AND IF I COULD USE IT ANYWHERE AND HE THEN TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE NO RESTRICTIONS ON IT AND THAT I COULD USE IT ABSOLUTELY ANYWHERE JUST LIKE A REGULAR CREDIT CARD. I ASKED HIM WHAT KIND OF CARD IT WAS AS WELL I ASKED IF IT WAS A VISA OR MASTER CARD AND HE THEN PROCEEDED TO ASK ME WHICH ONE DID I PREFER AND I REPLIED VISA AND HE SAID OK THAT IS NO PROBLEM. SO COME TO FIND OUT IT IS A CARD FOR A CATALOG AND ONLY AMERITRUSTS SITE! THIS IS ABSOLUTE BULL! THAT IS 200 DOLLARS THAT I DO NOT HAVE EXTRA IM 21 YEARS OLD AND A SINGLE MOTHER TRYING TO GO TO SCHOOL AND WORK ! I WROTE A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT AND THEY DENIED MY REQUEST FOR A REFUND I AM GOING TO REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND I HOPE YOU WILL DO THE SAME!

This company called me to verify an application for a credit card. They knew the last 4 digits of my SS number so I assumed they were legit. But, I don't give out such info and now am in the negative at my bank. I reported this to the bank when I got the phone call and actually warned the bank that something was going on. I am on SSI disability and have NO money now for the rest of this month!

I called several times regarding cancellation and removed from any promotions and mailing list.
