I am highly ofended and disturbed after talking to one of the customer care executive @ Amway today. I am a regular user of Amway products and recently i gotto know the 1+1 free lipstick offer from one of the distributors (who also asked me to view this scheme on amway.in). Another friend of mine who is also a distributor denied of this offer saying that the website is outdated and this scheme has expired.

I tried calling up the amway customer care and to my astonishment and surprize the customer care executive misbehaved and was not even ready to listen to me (since i am not a distributor).
He even told me that the website amway.in is NOT meant for customers and general public and i have no rights to get any information from them.
I wanna ask the autorities 1 question - ultimately the customer pays for the product and don't we have right to get the correct information?? In such an ambiguity and distrust that Amway has created, why should a common man like me ever buy amway prod?

The purposes of this complaint are to inform you that Amway pays out as little money as they can get away with, so Amway supports the higher level IBOs making as much money as they can off their downline via the tool profits, such as the various meetings, books, CDs, voice mail, web sites, etc., which I refer to as the ATS (Amway Tool Scam).
Amway and the upline are both satisfied with this arrangement. However, as result of this and other practices, about 99% of IBOs operate at a net loss, while the top 1% typically make several TIMES more from their Amway tool profits than from the Amway products, which means you and those in your group will operate at a net loss until each of you reach about Platinum.
Making this much from the tools was made illegal in India in 2005 and the UK in 2008, but the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has not taken action to stop it here. Rich DeVos, an Amway co-founder, spoke up against the above practices in 1983, but virtually nothing has been done to make similar changes in the USA and Canada. However, there is a current class action RICO lawsuit against Amway and various upline in the 9th Circuit Court challenging this situation.
