Received letter from this company 7/28/08 stating they were attempting to collect a debt for another company I had dealt with in the amount of $59.74. I immediately contacted the company which they said they represented because I had did not owe this money because it had been paid 3 months prior in full. I contacted the other company and they found that it had not been entered into their computer (I faxed them copies of my cancelled check as proof of payment) and they corrected their mistake and validated that I did not owe this. They told me they would contact Anderson, Crenshaw, and Associates regarding the error. Well - starting second week of September I started receiving calls from Anderson, Crenshaw about collecting this money. I told them that it had already been paid. I was told that I was a liar and they wanted me to pay it right then and there over the phone. I hung up the phone on them because I was not going to be spoken to in that fashion. They continue to call us all hours of day and night. I've told them every time that I do not owe the money and they are not to ever call my home again - but, the calls will not stop. Noone will give me their full name - they will only give me a first name. When I ask to speak to a supervisor they hang up on me. I cannot put a block on my phone for this number - or always depend upon caller ID because they call from many different numbers. Today they had the nerve to call and ask to speak with my daughter (she is 15). When I asked who was calling he said "Chris". When I asked what the call was about he informed me he was with Anderson, Crenshaw and she needed to know what her parents were doing to her credit. I just finished filing a complaint with the Texas AG's office - but, something needs to be done about this company immediately.
