Trying to collect on alarm system by Apex Alarm or Security Networks
My son-in-law who has learning disabilities and my daughter who is mildly retarded was pressured by Apex Alarm into a security system. When they bought their house it was already wired for security but had been cancelled by previous owners. All Apex had to do was change box out. They could not afford this system, it never worked right and they could never use it because this system kept messing up. I called Apex and was informed that Security Networks now owned the system and would need to talk to them. On 12-5-06 I talked with Karen and was told to send in a letter and the account would be cancelled. I called back and Security Network told me the account was cancelled in January, 2007. The account was put into collection on 4-19-2007 after they told me it was cancelled. I even called Security Network back and Marcie told me the account was cancelled on 5-3-07 and talked with Erin on 5-8-07 and she also told me account was cancelled. The collection agency is using scare tactics saying they are going to sue my son-in-law unless he pays $1, 319.67. My son-in-law was laid off work for over a month and is barely making ends meet. They talked him into giving them a credit card number to get the money. I called Capital One on 5-2-09 and disputed this charge. Capital One is working with me to dispute this charge. I just want to let everybody out there know about these high pressure salesmen with alarm companies and the tactics being used by Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates, L.L.C. Shame on them for taking advantage of my son-in-law and daughter, or anybody else for that matter. I looked into it on internet and this collection agency has a lot of complaints on them. They are even being investigated in the state of Texas. Thanks for listening. Katrina Little I forgot to mention that even though Apex told me the account was owned by Security Networks, it is Apex Alarm that turned it over to collection agency

false accuisations
We received two letters a day apart stating hat this is an attempt to collect a debt and any information received will be used for that purpose. This communication is from a debt collector. We called to company to see why we owed money and to whom. On the letters, it states that the client whom we owe money to is: A Home Automation II. We have never bought anything from this company or heard of it. They are not on our credit report and we were unable to find this company online. I asked for the contact information of their client (A Home Automation) and they refused to give it to us. They also informed us that contacting our attourney is the worst thing that we could do. This is a scam and we do not owe any money to this made up company.
