Gentlemen:
Prior to going to Shannon Airport in Ireland I bookred a car through Air Lingus. On arrival in Ireland, I rented a Hertz car at the airport. The representative up-graded my original car and sold me basic insurance. I asked him at the time if I wiuld be fully insured if I did any damage to the car. He said I was fully covered.On the way to Dingle, Ireland I scratced the car on the thorny bushes on the side of the rofde. The bushes were sticking out unto the road, I also fdamaged the mirror. When I returned the car on Saturday, April 19th. I was told that the car was had basic coverage and that I had to pay an additional $ 250.oo euros. I told the Hertz representative that examined the car that the representative that rented me the car told me that I was fully covrered. He smiled and said that I needed to pay an additional $ 250.00 Euros . i the representative that I felt that it was unfair for them to charge me the additional amount. I have used your company many times in the past, however, I am deeply dissapointed on the way this was handled. I woould hope that you will reconsider and return my 250.oo euros.
