Poor service and Incompitent/misleading advisors
I am a student who was looking to take pictures of some animals for a research project. I knew beforehand that it wouldn't be easy to get permission. So I had called Tuesday afternoon to be picked up by a man named walter. Mind you, this wasn't even the animal care and control, it was the operator service for the good city of Chicago. So, 1. false advertisement...they have no number they just transfer calls which makes it so confusing on who you're talking to. So I was mislead when I had asked, "is this animal care and control?" He replied, "yes." I had explained to Walter what I was doing and he transferred me to another lady. This was my mistake for not catching her name, but I made yet another mistake of assuming I was given to someone with a higher authority. Nonetheless, she said, "sure, just come in and ask for supervisor murphey." I told her ok. So I call in the day I was going to go in, which was Friday, just to be on the safe side. Unfortunatly, to make a long story short, there was no supervisor murphey, only and officer murphey, who reported me to the head of operating services named Marc and I was questioned like it was some murder scene. So now I have no pictures, no more time and was mislead. I am absolutely furious with the lady I had spoken with. If your going to "call animal care and conrol" make sure you know who your speaking to, what authority they have and if none of your questions are met go straight to the supervisor, because it wasn't until i spoke with Marc who then told me they needed all these things. Also, word to the wise for the lady, ignorance doesn't pay. I understand there's policy and rules, but she never told me any of that. I would've gladly given them any info they needed, but she never told me. I know i wasn't a paying customer or wasn't looking to adopt, but i should've been treated like one, nonetheless.
