My husband and I were involved in a car accident in December of 2010. The front of the car was highly damaged but it was all body work that needed to be done. We took it to AP Body Shop since we knew the owner, Andre.

The first time we got our car back was not until February... but it only lasted a day and had to go back to the shop.

To make the long story short, we have not had a working car since December. We have gotten it back about 3 times, each time it would only run for a couple of days and a new issue would arise. Each time, Andre, the owner of the shop, would try to tell us it wasn't accident related... we have had to take it to a mercedes mechanic everytime just to prove to Andre that is indeed accident related and due to his lack of knowledge and bad repair.

After every issue we have had to deal with Andre and his lack of knowledge. His response is always "I don't know" or "it's not accident related". However, we have already proved to him twice that the issues were caused by his negligence. We took the car to another mechanic who was able to see the kind of repair that was done, cables all over the place and not connected right, tires still slashed from the accident, a broken shock that Andre also failed to see.
We have had to get 5 supplemental claims from Geico, all because Andre failed to see the mistakes each time.

All this has caused us to be without a car for 5 months and Andre has not even offered a rental car.

AP BODY Shop is not a safe environment and not a good body shop. They are messing with cars they know nothing about and taking no responsibility.
We should've been told back in December that this was a job they couldn't do because they didn't know Mercedes-Benz.

Andre should take responsibility now, admit his lack of knowledge, and repair the car at all cost even if it means he has to take it to a mercedes mechanic.

Geico, my insurance, paid over $19, 000 in repairs so far and the car is still not safe to drive and not repaired. AP BODY SHOP IS RESPONSIBLE.
I wish I could just sue the shop! But I just want my car repaired correctly and I believe AP BODY SHOP should at least give us a rental at this point.
