An apartment locator provided me a list that included this property. I stopped by the property on 6/14. The leasing office seemed nice enough. I did a walk through of the apartment model and it was acceptable for the price. After a sales pitch from the leasing agent I put a deposit of $150 (40 app 100 deposit) on a 1BR apt that I was told would be ready on 6/19. After not hearing from the office staff by 6/16 I decided to give them a call to determine the status of my application. I was told that my application was pending management approval and was assured that i would be contacted by the end of the day and updated with the necessary info. NO ONE CALLED ME. 6/17 I called again and was told once again that someone would be contacting me. NO ONE CALLED ME. Prior to office closing hours I CALLED...I was told that my application was still pending manager approval. 6/18 I drive to the office to find out what is going on...I am now told by the leasing agent that they have been attempting to get rental verification from my current apartments and were having some difficulty. I called my apartments to get the verification that the lodge needed only to be told that the information that they requested had been faxed to them numerous times. The lodge leasing agent then told me that he had just refaxed the info and that it may be a couple of minutes. After 35 minutes, I suggested that the lodge leasing agent call my current apartments to clear up any miss communications. He called my current apartments and was told that legally they could not perform a lease verification over the phone. He claims that he sent another fax, and told me that I did not have to wait in the office and that he would contact me as soon as he heard something. Against my better judgement, I left. So move day comes...I call the apartments and the PHONE IS DISCONNECTED. Show up to the office and the OFFICE HAS NO ELECTRICITY AND THE DOORS ARE LOCKED. I ended up having to move my belongings into my friends garage. Drive to the office on Monday 6/20 to get my deposit back. ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF AND SO IS THE PHONE, OFFICE DOORS ARE LOCKED AND NO CARS ARE IN THE OFFICE PARKING LOT. Just as I am leaving the parking lot 1 leasing agent shows up. SHE OUTRIGHT REFUSED TO REFUND MY DEPOSIT STATING THAT THEY WERE HOLDING AN APARTMENT FOR ME. INSANE!!!NEVER CONTACTED ME, HOW COULD THEY WITH NO PHONE SERVICE...AM I TO BELIEVE THAT IT TAKES THAT LONG TO SEND A FAX OR TO REMAIN IN COMMUNICATION WITH SOMEONE.

I notified my apartment locator and he is black listing them.
I will be contacting the better business bureau.

Apartment has a policy which allows independent towing companies to enter locked gates. Towing companies are allowed to tow for a variety of minor offenses which harm no one, i.e expired license tag, busted tail light, etc. Situations like this, to a logical person, suggest a kick back situation of some sort. Apartment rents mainly to college students, single parent families, and others who would be considered "low income" individuals.

this apartment is to strict almost every guest that comes in the police that work here stop them. i understand we need security, but i got pulled over because i didn't press the gate code.WHY should i press the gate code when i have a remote control to open the gate.this is so stupid.i walked to my neighbors apartment and the "security "stopped and asked where i was going and why .that is nobodys business. i am a grow woman i dont have to ask permission from anybody. so take my advise don't live here. i can't wait til my lease is up
