Bad engine
My son had purchased an engine from Apex Automotive Ind, LLC. They were very helpful when my son told them that he wanted an engine that had low mileage on it. They called him and told him that they found one with 5000 miles on it. He told them that he would like to purchase it. The sale went through and his credit card was debited. The engine arrived in about 4 days. When the engine was unwrapped, the entire front-end of the engine was smashed in. My son called Matthew at Apex, and told him how the engine arrived. My son wanted to send it back at that time, but then was reassured that the engine was good. So he had the engine put in after all of the front and top parts of the engine was replaced. Thank goodness most of the parts were just exchanged from my sons original engine, but he did have to put out some money for sensors and gaskets, hoses and other components that were broken. So really all that he purchased was the block, heads, and oil pan. After all of the parts were replaced, the engine was put in. Well Guess What!!! THE ENGINE WAS BAD!!! I tried to contact Apex as soon as we found out, and we kept getting the answering service, to leave a message. So I kept leaving messages with Matthew And the Company at 1-888-877-2130. I kept doing this throughout the day for about a week, with no call back or answer. Then a couple of days ago I tried to contact them again, and it was like they didn't even exsist. I am just at my wits end. I feel so sorry for my son, he is disabled, and had to save for 7 months to be able to purchase an engine. To be let down like that when you think that people have good morales as you do, really stinks. All I really want is a good engine to get my truck back on the road.
