I worked for Apollo for almost a year. I was forced to work locally and was assigned dozens of local runs that didn't pay squat! And with these runs, the chase cars were in bad disrepair, and one particular dispatcher was verbally abusive, and the president's son who also was sometimes the evening dispatcher demonstrated little to no knowledge whatsoever about being a dispatcher. This company generally did not care about their drivers- but more about the almighty dollar that they were going to pocket for the company from the drivers moving vehicles with very little pay. I was understood that the drivers made only about 10-20% of the runs payout. Yes all pay was on ComData cards unless you elected for Direct Deposit. Then there was a 2 day delay.
Same verbally abusive dispatcher also authorized several CDL A runs knowingly without any of the vehicles having the proper credentials. Then again, getting paid just plain didn't happen unless you were lucky enough to be granted a long distance trip out of the local area. And those stopped happening, by admission of the driver manager, because all of the local drivers kept quitting hand over fist.
I requested to be put into the one-way division and I was fed a bunch of lame excuses by the president's son and never was given a real reason why I was not being transferred.
DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO LOSE MONEY AND TIME!!!
