During the summer I began to have performance issues
I received a 20 gb ipod On CHristmas of 2004. At first I was really pleased with both the product and performance. During the summer of 2005 I began to have performance issues and the ipod had to be serviced because it constanly was freezing up. After about 5 months of this issue continueing after service, the apple store in schaumburg illinois finally replaced it for a new ipod. Everything was great- it was recommended I purchase a case and so I did to spare this Ipod any structural damage - I purchased an Iskin. I also was so pleased with the new ipod shorthly after I purchased a car charger/transmitter and also a speaker system. Later I would go on to purchase an ipod for my fiance for christmas of 2005. She has been really pleased with hers - however my replacement started having similiar issues as my initial one - I have only opened it up out of the box 5 months before this began. After talking to my local store they suggested I update all my software and I did. Unfortunatly the problem still persists. I am bery disapointed with the product and worst of all now the 6/1/2 month unit is out of date and probably out of warranty. I would hate to spend another 300-350 dollars on a new ipod, however I purchased all the accesories and have all my music loaded in itunes. I am fearful in doing so after going through 2 units in a shirt 18 months. I believe apple manufactors quality products and have been a loyal customer and have reccomended apple and there products to may of my friends. My current unit is in great shape, has no structural scratches or blemishes, has never been mishandled and seems to be a faulty unit. I am hoping Apple will back up this unit and work with me in receiving a replacement unit- i have a click wheel 20 gb unit with black and white screen they no longer manufactor this unit.

I would like them to staff the stores with more employees to handle all the customers they get
I went to the Apple store to buy a new ipod and the customer service person was really nice but i had an issue with the memory of the one i o. I went back and had a person there exchange it for me.

The line was really long. I like Apple but i would like them to staff the stores with more employees to handle all the customers they get. it would make the experience that much more fun.

Undelivered macbook
I bought an Apple Macbook Pro Laptop online. And sent it to a friend who lives in USA. Apple sent the lap top with Fedex, and Fedex delivered the product to the security guy at the address. He never received the lap top.

From the building's security cameras it could be seen that Fedex did not deliver the package, but received a signature from the security guy. (They delivered some more packages but received one electronic signature for all of them) Probably the security guy did not count the boxes.

Fedex has a signature. The security guy doesn't claim delivering the package to the apartment.

In the end I paid for the Lap Top and I never received it.

I spent hours of time talking to all those people from Apple, Fedex, Security guy and the property management. I went to police.(I was there back then) I wrote to BBB. I did everything I could do.

First of all Fedex was not my choice, It was Apple's. Fedex delivered the box to the security person, not the name and address. Although the name at the delivery address was at home. The security guy says he doesn't remember receiving the package.

I blame Apple for working with a parcel firm that delivers packages to other people instead of delivering it to the person at the address. I paid Apple. I want my money back.

The prices are just to high for me
Went to the Apple store to shop for a new phone and Ipod. I really like the products and think the stores are really nice but the prices are just to high for me.

Cant they make some that are priced a bit more fairly. If someone at Apple reads this please think about making some products that are easier for the average person to afford.

iPod
We purchased two iPods in Dec 2008. One is working fine and the other is not functioning and it was not dropped or abused. Apple refuses to fix or replace. They want to charge me $79.00 to fix a product that is less than 1.5 years old. I can't believe they will not stand behind their products. NOT FAIR!

IPHONE
I Bought an Iphone 3g 2 years after it launched. I purchased it through FIDO and was so happy to have the IPHONE. However, it seems like just when my factory warranty ran out, my iphone started to glitch. eventually, the phone crashed and I lost all my contact because I never backed them up.

I was took it in for service and was told that the BOOT CHIP was gone and I need to have it replaced. Because I didn't want to buy a new phone, I spent $95.00 to have it replaced only to find out that a new issued started. The phone has a switch on the side to flip it from vibrate to audio, and occasionally when my phone is resting on my desk, I would see the icon flash and the phone would vibrate as if I was flipping the switch, but no one or thing was touch the phone. I ended taking it back in for servicing and because it was not the original problem, they are asking me to pay $120.00 to have another part replaced. with all the repair cost, i could have both a NEW BLACKBERRY and be much happier.

IPHONE SUCKS and I trusted the IPHONE and APPLE to keep all my files with me on my iphone but in the end they deleted everything and I have to start all over again.

Awful quality products
Like millions of others that were drawn by the Apple Iphone, I bought mine in Aug '07 and in addition to the phone purchased a 3 yr (extended) warranty plan. A few days ago my phone stopped working altogether and when I took it to the Apple store, I was told that the phone was water damaged as indicated by the indicator. Therefore my warranties would not hold and I would have to buy a new phone. I found that to be a ridiculous technical judgement (and service) because having owned the phone I know that the worst case contact with water could be a slight drizzle that escaped from the sides of an umbrella. And that is expected to be weathered by any phone. My blackberry never failed me all these years!

Why would I ever buy an Apple product when today I lost all my faith in the company. I believe they are cheating millions of people with a product that looks cool without honoring their commitments to repair faulty devices. They even hire 'cool' looking people at the store. For what? It's all about looks...looks that cloak bad customer service. Today I also realized another thing - I know the IPhone will not last as the hottest selling phone...It lacks what the Blackberry and Nokia learnt long ago - good customer service.

iPhone
Iphones are not functioning properly in countries like India. Even for simple service repairs, ; they sell thier products but Apple outlets here don't offer any kind of help or service. Customers are forced to depend on the internet and/or the other technicians/service providers.

warranty not for smokers
My son is a smoker - the only one in our house. I purchased an iMac for my son for school use less than 2 years ago. The optical drive quit ejecting, so we took it in for repairs with our local Apple "genius." They refused to fix it - calling it a "bio-hazard" because he is a smoker. When I called Apple to complain, they told me the hard drive had failed, in addition to the optical drive. I told them my son uses it every day.

In the interim, my oldest son is a computer engineer and he ran a SMART test on the hard drive - it passed.

I wrote an email to Steve Jobs and the executive offices called, Dena was her name. She told me that they were sympathetic to my situation and willing to put a fresh set of eyes on it - at the same store! They again told me that the optical drive had failed (already knew that), that my hard drive failed and all of the components were coated in Nicotine, a hazardous material. They refuse to honor the warranty. They say cigarette smoke has caused all of the damage. The computer still works, he just can't use the optical (CD) drive.

He has a laptop (an HP) and it works just fine. My Apple Care warranty doesn't list cigarette smoke as an exclusion from warranty coverage and no one asked me when they sold me the warranty over the phone if anyone was a smoker. This is absurd. I hate cigarette smoke too, but geez, don't smoker's have some rights?
