iPhone 3g 8GB Screen Flicker / now out $199 defrauded
Watch out giving Apple a credit card number. They use it when they want too...
I had been a happy Apple customer and between my wife and i we both own Iphones. UNTIL NOW
My wifes iphone had a screen that started flickering and we spent 3 hours on with an apple support representative only to be told that the phone needs to be replaced. I thought wow great. Luckily i purchased the AppleCare protection plan. The support person setup a replacement under the applecare plan and said he needed a credit card number incase i never returned the faulty phone. It seemed reasonable at the time so i gave him the number again assuring it would only be charged if i did not return the faulty iphone. Well little did i know that a weeks later i would receive a letter from Apple that i was being charged for the "damaged" iphone. I called to only be told that the phone had "water damage" which only adds insult to an already bad situation. Let me be clear this phone was kept in a case and out of the way of WATER at all times. I was asked did i use it while it was raining??? are you kidding me?? maybe i dropped it in water... umm NO well maybe i spilt something on it. Are you kidding with the price they make you pay for these darn phones it was treated like gold. Kept in a case and well cared for. I asked many times for the proof of water damage. The first time i was told that is Apple Proprietary information. Finally today i get a halfway blurry picture of what i am told is proof of water damage. I have spoken to 2 supervisors at apple support and both tell me that i am out of luck. They make the final decision and i must pay the charge. I am looking for your support and help to get this applecareless issue resolved.
All i would like is what i have paid for a working Iphone and not to be defrauded out of money because they had my credit card "on file". Apple has no authorization to charge my card yet refuses to reverse the charge.
Attached you will find the "proof" of water damage.
Does it show the SN of my old phone? NO
Does it show the damage? NO
Does it show why the screen stopped working? NO
How do i know his was my returned Phone?
I was told this is all they have on file.
Decide for yourself. Is this my returned phone and is there water damage? I ask you the public to speak with your dollars and common cents... Do we stand for apple defrauding customers?? I know i will never purchase another apple product.
My repair ID with apple is D25356865 if Apple wishes to try and reasonable save a few customers and resolve this issue. My contact info is in the file.

Ads in Demo version of Games
I am a proud owner of an Iphone 3GS, my very first Iphone to be exact.
There are alot of games and applications in istore and I have spent a fair bit of time browsing and downloading some free games myself.
The thing is, many of these so called free games are not free but evaluative copies only. They contained only ONE level or ONE play as opposed to the full blown, full version, multi leveled games. However, I do not mind that since they are free and I will pay to get games which I am satisfied with.
What pisses me off are the ads by Admob appearing when you play these demo version. Why are there ADs?
Usually, if the developers provide ads, it is to compensate them for allowing users like me to download full version of the game free of charge. Now it seems that the developers earn money by providing demos as well as full version.
I do not see the justifications for that. I hate forced advertisements without the freedom to choose whether we want to see or not. Further more, the Ad is telling me to watch CSI and win prizes... I don't watch TV. In-effective Ads that does not cater to what the user wants. Utter total failure.
I wonder why Apple, a much respected company allow slugs like Admob to infect our gardens (iphone/ipod).
Has Apple itself degenerated to the likes of Microsoft?

Scammers
I received over $ 200 in gift cards and purchased songs only for Apple to remove teh dRM a week later and ask me to upgrade not just these but the other thousnad songs at a cost of over $ 500 in one go. They must have realised that they were going to do this especially knowing lots of people would have used gift cards after Christmas!

Misleading information
I have noticed that the Apple PC company has very misleading information about it's products and other companys products. They seem to useing a tactic that takes advantage of people who know nothing about PC's and try and make there systems look better than the others. The problem is the Apple pc's have many more problems than they would like you to think. They do infact crash, They are also vulnerable to malicious attacks online, They don not have the most powerful system, They are not as easy to upgrade as they make you think, They are very exepnsive for what they offer, They have just as many bugs as any windows based system, They make you buy their System to use there Operating system, They are infact the same inside as any normal PC, They have a lot less programs than windows supports, Their systems are not the most environmentally friendly, They do not have the longest battery life etc etc etc... Dont get caught up in these lies people. I have no idea how so many companys in the US can get away with broadcasting so much untrue information without being taken of air. Check the UK comercials and you can see that 100% of Apple comercials are pulled from broadcast due to untrue information.

iTunes
I know this isn't much of a complaint and seems pathetic but shows the point. It seems that itunes has everysong that ever existed, including songs that existed over 20 yrs ago.WRONG!! One of my several Favourite Artists 'Selwyn' who has had approx. 3 hits and two albums released in the last decade, but yet he seems not too exist on iTunes. I have have tried numerous times searching and 'power searching' on the iTunes store, but nothing has come up.
Some of Selwyn's hits include: 'Rich Girl' (2002). 'Boomin' (2004/05). 'Like This, Like That' (around 2004) and his second album is entitled 'One Way'
If anyone has any info on this topic please email me at: [email protected]

iTunes
I've been using iTunes for well over 4 years now. Like clockwork, there is routinely a new version of iTunes available for install with new improvements. On each of these notifications of the availability of a newer version the specifics of what has been changed are never offered. After repairing my laptop, i was prompted with an iTunes update, so a usual I agreed to the new version. It wasn't until after I downloaded the new version (8.0.2.20) that I noticed a new artist in my artist list entitled 'Compilations'. Upon further investigation I discovered that while many of the artists in the compilations list were still accessible through the regular artists list, other were not. In other words, several of my artists now only appear under compilations, and are only able to be viewed and played by browsing through the compilations list. This is an unchangeable patch to the new version... Upon researching a general customer service email address to file a complaint with the company, I discovered there is no such address, and the only path to sending a customer service email is painstaking and only turns up dead ends and answers/recommendations to unrelated issues. I'm incredibly dissatisfied with the iTunes customer service, and the program designers who decided this was an acceptable change.

Iphone sucks
SO YESTERDAY IM ON THE PHONE WITH APPLE TRYING TO GET MY PHONE TO SYNC TO MY ITUNES. THEY COULDNT FIGURE IT OUT SO THEY HAD ME REBOOT THE PHONE. I TRIED THAT AND IT STILL WOULDNT CONNECT. TRIED IT ON MY LAP TOP, NOTHING. TOOK IT TO THE APPLE STORE TODAY AND IT WOULDNT WORK ON THEIR COMPUTERS. THEY LOOKED AT MY PHONE AND SAID THEY WILL NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY AND IT WILL COST $200 TO FIX. BECAUSE OF THE SCRATCHES AND DINGS ON IT. (BTW THE PHONE WORKS PERFECTLY AND HAS NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS) sO I COME BACK HOME AND CALL APPLE AND THEY TELL ME THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CALL THE APPLE STORE AND MAKE AN ARANGMENT FOR ME TO GET IT LOOKED AT AND THE LADY CLEARLY STATED THAT IF THEY CANT FIX IT THEY WILL REPLACE IT. SO I USE MY GAS ONCE AGAIN AND DRIVE TO THE APPLE STORE, AND AGAIN THEY TELL ME THEY WILL NOT TOUCH IT. THEY ALSO PUT A NOTE ON MY PHONE THAT ITS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR. (COME ON ITS A PHONE IT GETS SCRATCHES.
THATS LIKE IF YOUR ENGINE BLEW IN YOUR NEW CAR, AND THEY WOULDNT FIX IT BECAUSE IT HAD A DENT AND SCRATCHED ON IT. IF YOU HAVE A WARRANTY IT COVERS IT. UNLESS YOU DID SOMETHING TO MODIFY IT TO CAUSE THE ENGINE TO BLOW, OR MY PHONE TO NOT SYNC TO ITUNES...
I COME BACK HOME AND CALL APPLE SUPPORT AGAIN AND IM ON HOLE AGAIN. THE GUY THAT READ MY ACCOUND SAYS " WELL IT SAYS HERE THAT THE PHONE IS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR SO WE CANT DO ANYHTING ABOUT IT" I ASKED.. "SO YOUR PRETTY MUCH TELLING ME THE PHONE IS JUNK?" HE REPLIES "YES, WELL U CAN STILL USE THE PHONE RIGHT?" YEA BUT I CANT GET THE UPDATES OR ADD SONGS TO ITUNES OR DOWNLOAD APPS. HE WAS KINDA SPEACHLESS FOR A WHILE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO... I TOLD HIM "I WORK IN RETAIL, AND IF WE HAVE A MAD CUSTOMER, W DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. iVE SEEN BBQ'S GO OUT THE DOOR FOR FREE BECAUSE WE MESSED UP OR SOMETHING HAPPENED WITH A CUSTOMERS ORDER OR SOMETHING.
THIS IS CRAP AND APPLE CAN GO TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET ON FIRE!!!
I CAN TOTALLY SEE IT IF IT WAS MISSING PARTS OR THE SCREEN WAS CRACKED, BUT NOTHING IT WRONG WITH IT, ITS JUST SCRATCHED, NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

Bad Products, Scam
While i bought an ipod about two years ago for $330. But recently it has stopped working correctly. Now i have already contacted Apple and they said they can't do anythin cause the warrenty is up. Now i believe that spending $300+ on anything, it should last at least five years. Apple said to fix the ipod it would cost at least $150 for just one part. is it just me or does it seem like they scam people

ipod hi-fi
APPLE is big company making high quality products, but they don't care about customers at all. Be aware of buying apple products - read this.
I have iPod Hi-Fi docking station which I have received as a gift from my parents about 16 months ago. It was very expensive present, they paid more than $500 for it from Apple online. This docking station has a great sound but it is stopped working last week. I have called the Apple customer service and ask them for help. They said the product is out of warranty and I have to pay for repair, I agreed ( there was no other option anyway ). The send me to the nearby Apple store. I have been waiting in the store about 50 minutes for assistance and after that they told me my product is out of warranty and they are not able to repair that. I have called the Apple again following day and they try to send me to the store again. I told them what happened in the store and they said they couldn't help me. I asked for some supervisor and they transfer me to her. She send me to the store again and when I told her what was happened in the store a day before, she said I have to go for vrepair to third party. So I go to the Chicago repair shop and asked for repair. The technician said they are able to repair that if they will have the part ( metal stick which going in to the iPod ), but they don't have it and there is no possibility to order it from Apple. I have called Apple again, they send me to the store, send me to the third repair party and after that, they told me I have to buy a new Hi-fi docking station. If I ask where, they said they don't know because they don't produce them anymore. I think this is BAD JOKE! I had product from APPLE for more than $500 which was good enough only for 16 MONTHS! Now, I should throw it away and buy a new one - other brand which will be for I hope last longer.
