Schedule
A server at applebees who is getting moved up to key manager has been making the schedule for all servers. Conflict of interest. His girlfriend works there ( whom he makes the schedule for) and also for his brother who just started working there and already has other shifts that are supposed to be earned through improvment. I dont believe a current surver should be making the schedule due to conflict of interest.

Dirty tables/no busing done hours after people had left
About 4:30 p.m. we went into the Applebee's on Dorothy Lane, near the corner of Kettering Blvd. We hd a very nice young man, but the table we were seated at had a dirty tabl, he tried to clean off, but it kept getting worse instead of better. The npkins stuck to it, as well as the menu's, and if you put your arm down it had to be peeled off. The table next to use was empty when we arrived (diners gone) but food all over the tabe, after 1 hr. and a half, it had still notben bused. They were no busy, so no sense in such, it makes the place look dirty. Never saw anyon who looked like they might be in charge, just a bunch of very young kids, who were trying, but just did not hve a clue. A much bigger menu, but no longer have the smoothered chicken breasts, which I really liked, and they always prepared so nicely.

Sex Discrimination against a customer
Recently, I went to an Applebee's restaurant and while I was ordering my drink, the waiter who was serving me began to make gestures and comments of a sexual nature towards me, which I found to be offensive and unwanted. He, the waiter, was getting too close to my body and trying to touch me. He also called me names based on my gender like "lady" as if he thought I was some sex object, and I thought that was unfair, unequal, and offensive. He even said he wanted to have sexual relations with me. And all of this is not a joke, he was serious with me. This incident really scared me, especially because I was a molestation victim as a child. So I contacted police and I wanted to press charges against that waiter. I am never eating at that Applebee's again because of what happened. I hope that waiter gets what he deserves.

Bad service
My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner at Applebee's Medallion Center location over a month ago. When entering a large group was seated before us but the 3 waitresses nearby literally turned their backs and ignored us. Never have I entered a place of business without a greeting or told someone will be right with you. Many minutes later we were finally seated and had a great waiter.
During our meal a manager came by and asked how was everything. I told her about the discourteous staff we initially met. She said that would take care of it. But I don't believe anything was done, as she didn't ever return. The next morning I wrote a long letter to their store and filed an online complaint.
A week later I heard back from Jillian and talked for over 20 minutes about our lack of service. She was very nice and said the situation was addressed and that she would be sending us a gift certificate for a couple free meals as compensation.
Three weeks later we get an Award later for $10. Talk about a fast and effective solution. Hell, I tipped the waiter more then that! What a great way to build a reputation and get repeat business. That is 3 times now that we have been snubbed and insulted for a simple mistake that was uncalled for. The follow up was much worst and only exasperated the situation. Why say you are sorry if you really don't care about a good paying customer?

Poor Service
I went to the local Applebee's today, and the waitor who served us was absolutley terrible. He was always late with asking us if we were enjoying our food, and sometimes, he asked ridiculous questions. My mother's glass of water was empty, and he had the nerve to ask her if she wanted a re-fill. Obviously she did! Aren't waitors supposed to pick up on things like that? Also, my grandmother had told him to take her cup of tea away, and he did. But didn't even ask her if she wanted another drink! He came back like 10 minutes later, and THEN asked. How slow can you be? What kind of waitor takes a drink away, and doesn't ask if you want another one? Shouldn't it be illegal to eat food without a beverage? Overall, poor drink service. I was not impressed, and I don't think he got a tip.

Poor customer service
Terrible customer service! A coworker and myself were seated by hostess during lunch hour 1/4/11 - sat for 15 mins and never once acknowldged by a single employee. No "I'll be with you in just a moment" not a glance in our direction, completely ignored. We got up, got our coats on, and STILL NOT one word from a single employee. Restaurant was NOT busy. Will never go to this restaurant location in future.

Friends and I went to Applebee's for dinner. We assumed that we were 2 couples and we would each get the 2 for $20.00 special. We knew that drinks would be extra and we did order an extra appetizer. We did not expect to have to pay extra for the extra butter, sour cream, bacon bits on our potatos. When the bill arrived we expecteda bill to be around $60.00 Our bill was over $80.00. When we questioned the waitress she explained that the butter, sour cream, and bacon bits. I'm glad I didn't ask for extra salad dressing we would of had to pay extra for it too. I feel that everything was a la carte and people are unaware of this. Applebee's should let their customers know this when ordering. WE ended up paying more for the extras than the meal itself. Thank you APPLEBEE'S for making a pleasant evening unpleasant due to hidden costs.

Not happy with service
We to applebees last nite, ordered appetizer, server put it in, came back took food order, apppetizer came out, took one bite then server came with food, so how do you determine whitch one to eat and whitch one you let sit and get cold.this is the second time this has happened, manager apoligized, took half price off appetizer, big deal, not happy with service, manager and server were very nice and polite, food was excellent, but something needs to be done to allow adequate time between apps and meals times.have always enjoyed the food and service, but this needs fixin.

This is the first American restaurant I've been to that had no BBQ sauce or ketchup. We had to ask for our unlimited top up on drinks and once food was served no one came back to check if we wanted anything else or even dessert.

The first time I went to AppleBees, I had the worst service ever. I got food late and I got a bad table. The food had to be sent back because it wasn't hot enough, and after that I never went again.
