I personally think it's unfair that certain employees get better shifts than others do
I personally think it's unfair that certain employees get better shifts than others do. I think that sure seniority should have something to do with how people get their shifts, but also how hard they work. I think that if you work hard enough, you DESERVE to get certain shifts. I also think that managers should complaint A LOT less when employee's need to switch a shift or cover it, after all, it is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT. I've been working for this company for four years, and I've seen a lot I don't like.

Found steel chunk in cheese burger
Well it was the evening of my 27 th birthday and i wanted applebees so me my wife and my little brother drove about 100 miles to the one in olathe kansas on south harrison 14860 to be exact one of my favorites among a few and about three bites into my cheese burger i bit into what looked like a latch or something not sure just know it wasnt beef all the manager could do is reorder my meal but i done lost my appetite he gave me a togo box and told me and my wife that dinner was on the house and told my brother and his wife they would still need to pay to me that was wrong the metal that came out of my mouth was 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch and about 1/16 inch thick that is pretty visible to the naked eye i have tried to contact someone by phone but get no where.

It shouldn't take that long to get a drink order or for the waiter to come to the table
We went to the Applebees restaurant in Newton, NJ on Oct. 26 at around 5 p.m.. We were seated promptly and told what the special was and the drinks featured and that our waiter would be right with us. We sat there for 15 min. and NO one came to even take our drink order. We've gone there quite a few times and never had any problem, what happened? It shouldn't take that long to get a drink order or for the waiter to come to the table. I was very disappointed.

The food was cold and the waiter Brad was rude to me
AppleBee's in Belvidere, IL. I enjoy going to dinner and dine at AppleBee's for my birthday. I unfortunately after tonight you have lost three customers. The food was cold and the waiter Brad was rude to me. By the way our bill was a total over $ 40.00 dlls. We did order different things and he did ask would you like a Ranch of Blue cheese and I did ask him is there an extra charge for both of them? My husband likes Ranch and my daughter like blue cheese dressing. He SAID NO MA'AM. I like to know in advance for any extra charge on our bill? He never did returned to our table and ask if we would like anything else? Towards the end of our dinner he brought a bill. I did ask him I am celebrating my birthday tonight you still have the desert and you pick out one? He replied NO. That made my night. I thought go to the local neighborhood AppleBee's instead of driving 14 miles away to dine- in.

Applebees sucks...the food sucks and the managers suck...it is a horrible company to work for...

I won't be going back anytime soon
Went to the Applebee's in Hixson, Tennessee, at about 12:30 on Tuesday, August 31. Ordered the usual: small oriental chicken salad. The lettuce was wilted, had black edges, and tasted "old." The other ingredients in the salad mix (carrot, cabbage, etc.) were scarce, as were the almonds and toasted noodles that make this salad "oriental." Service was lagging, even though the restaurant was 2/3 empty. Even though this has been one of my go-to places for lunch, I won't be going back anytime soon.

fINDING OBJECT IN FOOD
I and my husband were at this AppleBee's resturant, ordered our food which was a hamburger meal for my husband and the Rib dinner for myself. the waiter brought the meal I started eating my ribs and there was a hard bristle in the rib that I bit into. I made the waiter aware and he asked me to put the bristle on the napkin so he could take it back to show it to his manager. when the waiter came back he asked me if I wanted another or did I want him to wrap the rib that I had ordered up. I told him no and he offered me a free dessert. I told him we were done. The manager came out and asked was this the table that had the ribs and if I wanted him to have them make me another rib. I said no. The waiter came back to the table and said that they took off the appetizer and gave me a discount off of the rib dinner. When we looked at the bill the bill was $22, I asked where was the discount and he said they took off $4.99, I said they should have offered to give me the meal free seeing I had not eaten much of the meal. I feel that both the manager and the waiter were unprofessional and I am requesting that the manager and waiter be reprimanded.

Poor Manager
Every Tuesday my friends and I go to our local Applebee's because they have Karaoke and half price appetizers. Our waitress was punctual and made sure everything went well for us. We were all enjoying ourselves then received our checks. I noticed that the appetizer, Queso Blanco, that I had order was not half priced on my check. I asked our waitress about it and she told me she would try to get it fixed. Later she came back to our table and told me that the manager would not give me the half price on the item but he would take fifty cents off of it. I was annoyed by this, the reason myself and my 12 friends come to this Applebee's every week is mostly for the half priced appetizers. I asked our waitress if she would mind having the manager come over so that I could ask him about the issue. She sent him over and when he came to our table he was extremely rude to me. He treated me like I shouldn't even be in the restaurant and I was a waste of time being there. He didn't give me anymore of a discount and was very hostile to the rest of my group and myself. We are now questioning whether we should continue going to Applebee's on Tuesdays as has been our tradition. The manager's name is Carmello or something along those lines by the way, just in case you go there and are treated poorly don't be surprised.

Terrible customer service
I visited Applebees for my Mother's Day dinner with my husband around 3:30p.m. My waitresses name was Billie; who did an excellent job. Upon arriving, the building was very cold. My waitress said that she would let the manager know that I said that it was cold. I had on a long sleeve shirt and I brought my jacket and it was still too cold to eat my meal. There was another couple two tables down from me and the lady had a sleeveless top on and they were drinking coffee. The main part of my complaint is when I asked for the manager; when he came out he went directly to the table across from me and asked that table how was everything this evening. He then left that table and went to two other tables on the other side of me and then proceeded back where he came in. I waited then my waitress: Billie came and asked me if the manager (Michaael Wommack) had been to our table I said no. My food which was a 12-16 inch NY steak w/shrimp topping. The steak was ordered well done and after the first piece was cut it was red inside so Billie sent it back into the kitchen to have it recooked. It was so cold, I decided to get the dinner boxed to go. So after I received my recooked food Mr. Wommack came over to my table. By this time I felt as though I was purposely ignored. When he gets to the table he said "I was so busy and that I was waiting until you were ready to leave." My comment to him was that I was waiting to see how long it was going to take you to come over to our table since I watched you visit three different tables around me and visited w/them twice asking how was everything.

So he just said that he turned down the a/c and I said I know. Maybe he thought that it might be a confrontation. All I wanted was the same courtesy that Mr. Wommack gave the other customers. I always eat at this Applebees because we live 2 1/2 miles from the house and sometimes I just don't fell like cooking. I believe that in the future, Mr Wommack, should learn to treat all of his customer's with the same dignity because thats what I live by; treat people like you want to be treated.

I will think twice before going to Applebee's next time
We were at the Apllebees in Bloomington, Illinois. We ordered a rib dinner and a steak dinner with a baked potatoe. My baked potatoe was not fully cooked so I asked for a new potatoe but by the time I was done with my dinner the waiter came and I mentioned my baked potatoe and he told me they were out of baked potatoes and would I like mashed. I responded I was done with everything and at this time a baked potatoe would be a dessert. Also, the waiter said he would bring us wet wipes because of the rib dinner but that never came. We were very disappointed because we always like to go to Applebees but now we will think twice. We think the waiter should have offered us something - ex. dessert or whatever but to not say anything or offer anything was not good. We were sorry this happened because we do like Applebees
