Employees act as if they do not want to be at work
If your sales have dropped in Orangeburg SC, it is not due to the economy! One day I suggested that some of my coworkers join me for lunch at this establishment, I was immediately told that they no longer eat there, because the staff is very unprofessional, although I felt the same due to another unpleasant experience Myself and another coworker decided to go anyway. When we arrived we were seated by the hostess, and told that someone would take our drink orders. After being seated we both took turns going to the restroom to wash our hands, meanwhile we still had no drinks. After sitting there for approximately (7) minutes watching the waitresses stand around the bar catching up on the latest gossip we got up and left. As we were leaving I heard a waitress saying "I dont know why they're leaving no one sat them down anyway". Now excuse me, why would I walk into an establishment and seat myself especially when I know that you are seated at Applebees. I strongly encourage enforced policies and proceedures, because the employees act as if they do not want to be at work.

We paid for some food that was not good
My Friend and I went to Apple bee's today in Bowling Green Ky #08. We both order a steak and mash potatoes and when we got our order the steak was not good and the food was cold and we told the manager when she came around and she asked can we get us something else and I decide against it, because I came there for a steak and that was want, I wanted and my friend got something else, what I am trying to say they took our order and it took awhile to get and when we did get our food everything was cold and the steak was tough and I we told them about it, but when it came time for the check they did not give us a discount add we was upset, because we paid for some food that was not good.

Awful place
My 2 children, husband, and I walked in and was told it would be a 15 min. wait. We said it was okay and sat down. After 10 min. the Hostess told us there was a high table available, we said we would like a booth because we have two small children she told us it would be another 15 min. almost 20 min. later she cleaned of a booth that was dirty the whole time we was there and sat the four people who just walked in the door there. the waitress came up and, said you all have been waiting before them and the hostess replied you have a party of eight. I said no four and, walked out very upset. The whole time I was there people were getting seated... I guess my family was invisible. The hostess acted very unprofessional. She was seating everyone she knew, running to the door to hug other people she knew. My children were hungry and, could not understand why we didn't get to sit down or much less eat.

Totally disappointed
I was totally disappointed with my visit to your restaurant. Your half priced appetizers changed. You use to have vegetable pizza and quesidillas, but now most of the appetizers are fried. I ordered Orange Chicken, small order. It was so spicy I could not eat it. I asked the waitress about it and she said that it had crushed red peppers in it. The meal was $7.49. I called the waitress over and asked for something else. She was not sure if I could do it. I asked for the mini bacon cheeseburgers. She was not sure of the price, but said that she would call it even. Well the cheeseburgers only cost $5.99, but we were charged the price of the orange chicken. Also my husband got the sizzling fajitas at the price of $8.49. He was charge the more expensive order of $11.99. When we left we checked the menu prices and call this to the attention of the manager. Instead of the manager adjusting our bill or backing it out, the waitress took the difference of $4 out of her tip pocket to take care of the price difference. This made us feel terrible that she was giving up her tip money. We gave the money back to the manager for him to return it to her. We concluded that it was a bad experience and will not return to Applebees. We were even overcharged with a second mountain dew which we did not order.

Terrible service
I walked in waited 7 minutes for the "hostess" to make eye contact and say hello, in spite of being less than 3 feet from her station. I then asked her how to place a take out order. Not able to answer she just walked off. She came back in less than a minute and said, "just ask the bartender. I said ok. I then went to the bar. Seven customers and myself. It took 13 minutes for the bartender to say hello and ask what I needed. I said I needed an order to go and while waiting a Bass Ale would be nice. She took my order and said, and I QUOTE "Your order will be ready in 11 minutes"... When my order arrived I mentioned the delay and she checked her computer / register. She said and apologized about the 30 minutes her computer showed. She also asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said no thanks my night and my evening was already ruined by the service. The burger was not medium it was well to burnt and cold when served. The oriental salad looked like floor sweepings. The greens were room temp as was the salad dressing...

Awful place
I took my four grandchildren and my daughter to the Applebees on Algonquin Rd. in Arlington Heights IL. Never again will I go there with or without them. We entertained them with the coloring until the food came. We ate and then the children got restless which was understandable as they are 10months, 2, 3, and 4 years old.I had my daughter take 3 of them to the car and i waited at the door with the 2year old.Finally 10 minutes later a nasty lady pointed to my table and asked me if that had been my table. Not knowing at the time, the waiter and the manager followed my daughter to the car and asked her if she intended to leave any money.Finally the same waiter brought me the bill that was 45dollars. I gave him 100 and he went to get change.My daughter pulled up in front so I took the 2 year old out for her to put in the car seat at which time she told me what had taken place outside in front of the other children. I went back inside for my change and asked the waiter about him confronting my daughter outside since i had not left the building. The waiter lied and told me "he wanted to see if she wanted anything else." He in fact went outside and confronted my daughter about the bill. I was so insulted that I called when I got home and the GM could only say that "I am sorry." I want the Gm and all managers to know that when people are trying to be polite by removing children so others can eat quietly, they should respect that fact and understand that if 2 women with 4 children want to play Bonnie and Clyde they would not order off the childrens menu, instead we all would have ordered steaks.

Awful food
I recently went to Applebees here in Hamilton, NJ and the food was HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRRRRIBBBLE!!! I ordered my food for the carside pickup, and when I got home to have my lunch, the food was cold and nasty. Ordering the Chicken Alfredo (minus) the broccoli, boneless chicken wings w/honey BBQ (for someone else), and a hot fudge sundae for my little girl. Welllll... the noodles for the Chicken Alfredo was dried out, the boneless wings were hard (like they been over cooked and dunked in sauce) and the sundae, WHAT A JOKE... you couldn't even call it a sundae!!! It was ONE bite of ice cream w/whip cream and a squirt (less then that) of fudge. It was HORRIBLE!!! I recommend if you go here, CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE...OTHERWISE, YOU WON'T GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!! Oh yeah, I went BACK to the restuarant to complain, and the manager said to me, "Their's NOTHING wrong with the food." We got into a bit of a tib bit, and the manger refused to do ANYTHING. HORRIBLE AND DEPLORABLE!!!

Terrible place
Arrived at the Applebees at Glenwood and State street in Boise Idaho around 7:50 pm. Very Hungry. Seated in a booth (good), not very busy (also good). 8:00 pm, waitress shows up and takes our drink orders. 8:10 pm, waitress brings water and tea my wife ordered and informs me that my Miller Lite is on the way. We order our dinner! Yay! I order a rib eye and shrimp, wife orders avacado dip, chips and soup. 8:15 pm (Is this really happening?) Waitress infoms me that the Miller Lite beer tap is not working. I ask for any beer that is working, please!!! 8:25 pm - the avacado dip shows up and is burnt to a crisp. Waitress applogizes and asks if we want it or if she should take it back. (Take it back!???) We don't have all night!!! We keep it. She then informs us that they are all out of soup! (Sorry) Here is your rib eye steak, cooked blood rare just the way you like it! (I ordered it medium) Um, it's bleeding badly, should we get a tourniquet on this thing? Got up, talked to manager and he thanked me for bringing this to his attention. He said, "Most people just walk out without saying anything." Really? My Bad. I won't be eating a Applebees anytime soon.

Very poor service
I visited you Bettendorf, Ia. restaurant last evening and the service was very poor. The waiter was very unprofessional in appearance and actions.(Kaden) Another waitress brought our food to us and just set it down and turned away never saying a word. We didn't have any napkins or table service, when she was in reach I asked her for them and she went and got the napkins and said I'll have to get the table service and it was a while before she came back. When she returned she just laid it on the table and walked away. The waiter never came back for any refills or nothing, except to bring the bill. Very poor service in my book.

service/management
I have filed 2 previous complaints concerning a situation, and NOTHING has been done. I had another related incident tonight that upset me. The biggest issue is the failure of management to take proper action to discipline a very rude and unreasonable server. They further have been VERY rude and judgemental of me, without giving proper consideration to my complaints.
I am 61 year old retired military officer and a respected member of the communnity.

First off, several months ago I received VERY rude service from my server, Ginger St.John. When taking my order she was VERY short and rude. There came a point when I politely asked if I could ask her a question, to which she VERY rudely said NO as she turned and walked away. She definitely has an unfoundes dislike for me.I have tried to get her to explain why she was so ANGRY with me, but will not explain, not try to work out whatever problem she has with me.

Several weeks later she(Ginger) came in very angrily and rudely butted in on a conversation I was having with the bartender(Susan). She then scolded me about an issue outside of the restaurant and didnot involve her at all. I spoke to the manager (David Elliott)that night and he has taken NO action.

At this time I filed a complaint with Applebee's Corp, and nothing happened. I first wanted to NEVER go into Applebee's again, but I enjoy the restaraunt, other that for this situation, and diddn't think I should have to stay away because of bad management.

I decided to avoid Ginger as much as possible, but tonight some friends asked me to join them. It just so happened to be in Gingers section. She refused to serve me. The manager(David Elliott) scoulled me in front of other guest, for sitting in her section, and I felt he was about to have me removed.

I don't understand why Applebee's Corp would allow such treatment of a regular customer( 3-4 times a week for the last 3-4 years) to continue.
